WOW, 15 days?! Major respect there.

Would you mind sharing more about what that was actually like? I'd love to hear some more details... and if you have any book recommendations or specific websites you follow to learn more, please send them my way!

Can you walk me through the experience? Like, give me the gritty details... and maybe point me toward some books or websites if you want to dive deeper?

Getting your head right is everything. You have to be 100% sold on the idea that this is actually going to help you feel better. Once that clicks, you just go for it. No endless procrastinating. Springtime is probably the best window for it. It’s definitely easier if you can clear your schedule and not work during the fast, but hey, it's not a hard rule.
At first, I was strictly sticking to water, but man, sometimes that gets pretty nauseating. During a fast, your body cleans itself out on multiple levels—even through your saliva. Your spit ends up tasting totally different. To deal with that, I’d splash in a little orange juice, which made things way more tolerable. I spent a lot of time outdoors, even went for some light jogs. I felt tired, sure, but nowhere near as wiped out as I thought I would be. Hunger is the real beast for the first few days, but after that, it pretty much vanishes.
Enemas are non-negotiable, once or twice a day. You don't really need them the first two days. You just gotta find your rhythm, and then it becomes routine. Honestly, it’s wild how much junk your body actually flushes out that way.
When you start eating again, you have to be incredibly careful so you don't wreck your system. The general rule of thumb is that the refeeding period should last about as long as the fast itself.
The results? In short: everything basically resets back to its optimal settings.
Oh... and seriously, don't try fasting for more than 5-7 days if it's your first time.
