I have some vague memories of that movie, known in English as "The Battle of the Bulge." I know guerrilla war films can be a bit much—usually heavy on the propaganda, even when you're just a kid watching them—but they have a certain charm. I’d honestly watch it again.
There was this one scene I loved. During the battle, the guerrilla units are taking massive casualties. A commander from the local front reaches a higher-ranking officer, salutes him, and says something quick like, "Only 150 men left on our line who can still hold a rifle." The officer insists the breakthrough has to happen regardless. Those battered units line up and let out a thunderous "CHARGE!" before rushing toward the German lines. My memory might be a little fuzzy on the details, but that's how it sticks in my mind.
Death to fascism 😁
Richard Burton played Franklin D. Roosevelt.
