Injuries to the brow bone (supraorbital region)

So, my arcade had a bit of a run-in with a hard floor today 😁 specifically, I ended up somewhere I definitely shouldn't have been in a dark room 😁

I’ve got some minor swelling going on, and there was a little bleeding when it happened, but that stopped pretty quickly. It’s not super bruised, but you can definitely see the hematoma.

I wanted to ask how I should actually treat this. I’m not planning on hitting up a doctor since it doesn't really hurt and the swelling has already gone down a bit throughout the day. However, I would like to know the right way to handle an injury like this—or anything similar—moving forward.

Check with a local pharmacy to see if they have any topical creams available. Otherwise, cold compresses—like an ice pack wrapped in a towel—should help with the swelling.

You really ought to use Lead only if you apply it immediately after an injury occurs. Once that window closes... well, it's too late for that

I took a direct hit to the face—browbone first—and while my brow didn't actually split open, I ended up with a massive hematoma.
The swelling was so bad my eye was nearly swollen shut. Now that it’s finally fully open again, one side of the eye is still bright red from the blood that (hopefully) leaked from the brow area. On top of that, there's this nasty, dark bruise right on my brow bone.

I have a couple of questions regarding the eye irritation and the bruising. What are the best remedies—drops, ointments, whatever—to help with the redness and the bloodshot look? Also, any idea how long it usually takes for a bruise like this on the brow to completely fade?

You really shouldn't put anything near your eye—unless you've actually injured the conjunctiva.
I’d suggest just using some ice and maybe an over-the-counter hemorrhoid cream (like FactSet)—just be incredibly careful not to let any of it touch the actual membrane of the eye 😬
Depending on how much blood actually leaked out, it usually clears up in about two or three weeks.😈

Go hit a boxing gym sometime, then you'll see what a real arcade injury looks like.

Hey everyone... so, I wiped out on my bike and ended up splitting my forearm open. It’s about a centimeter long and looks kind of deep, like there's a bit of a crater where the skin gave way... It was bleeding pretty steadily for the first five minutes, but once I cleaned it out, things seemed to settle down. Still... should I just head to the ER or what?

Man, just get yourself to the ER right now, because that clinic is a total disaster zone
