Windows XP Service Pack 2 English translation?

I'm wondering if a language interface pack designed for Windows XP Service Pack 1 can be used on Service Pack 2, given that there are some changes between the two versions. The sites where you download the American language interface say it's supported for both Windows XP Service Pack 1 Home and Professional. Has anyone actually tested this yet?

At my office, a few colleagues were running Windows XP Service Pack 1 along with that specific HR software suite, and after we rolled out Service Pack 2, everything has continued to run smoothly without a single hiccup. At least, I haven't heard a peep of complaint—it’s been two months now—and during the installation process itself, nothing seemed even remotely suspicious, at least based on what I was able to observe while monitoring the setup.

I tried installing Service Pack 2 first, then went back and ran that old installer from before Service Pack 1 was even out. Everything worked perfectly fine. You won't have any issues.👍

Honestly, even with the Language Interface Pack and Service Pack 2 installed, things aren't exactly running smoothly.
It seems like Service Pack 2 just randomly decides which translations to load—it might pick up some, but then completely ignore others.

Well, I got lucky. The guy decided to bail on the Windows XP SP2 upgrade since he doesn't have internet access anyway and doesn't really have any specific requirements. So, that whole workaround stays untested.
