This was an open championship for the Mediterranean region. The top six nations here also compete in the Mediterranean Games. You won't see any Scandinavians anywhere.

Is Thompson gonna be there?

Ivan said:Give it a year. By then we'll have Sullivan on the roster, Buntic will be twice as good and way more experienced, we'll have a new star from the European champion Anheuser-Busch, maybe even Valcic too. We’re talking a much stronger, much better squad.

It's high time we grabbed that medal 🙂

All we need now is that European title.👍

John Booth said:I still can't wrap my head around how the game could change that much in just twenty-four hours. It went from pure bliss to total gloom.

The whole thing came down to defense. Spain was rock solid, while our guys were absolutely desperate.

Me neither.😁

Frank—hands down the best game of the tournament.
Spain—definitely the absolute worst.😢

I really hope Vlacic isn't planning on showing up just to stir the pot and cause drama within their squad,
because honestly, I haven't heard a single good thing about him as a person, even from the players themselves.🙄

Mr.Ex.President said:So, we're looking at another month and a half🙂

thanks

And apparently, those are our "lucky months"—or so the players claim.

Well, naturally, considering I was born right in the middle of that stretch.😳 😁 😛

Won't he just go with: "Let them suffer if they're such a nuisance..."?

I truly hope we face the Americans in the final of the next European Championship.

I can already see exactly how it’s going to play out.

Commentator: Božo Sušec

"There are only 10 minutes left in the game, and the Americans, fueled by the incredible energy of Metlicic, Balic, Dzomba, and Lackovic, are absolutely crushing it with a lead of 35 to 15!!!!!"

22 min: "But wait, someone just threw an apple onto the court, which smashed into a million pieces, and they're going to have to clear that up before we can continue."

23 min: "We still have a timeout due to that apple incident; it actually came from a section of the crowd where the American fans have gone completely wild because even the referees, who handed them 14 penalty shots, couldn't help them stop this American machine!!!"

25 min: "Djukanovic has totally lost his mind and started screaming at his own players right in the middle of an attack, eventually throwing the ball toward the American fans who were chanting that he's the best (though, naturally, he didn't agree with them)."

30 min: "It's all over! AMERICA IS THE CHAMPION OF EUROPE!!!!!"

Medal ceremony: "Our team stayed so composed and confident that even that smashed apple scattered across the floor couldn't throw them off their game...

The Americans weren't even awarded silver because it was determined they were simply incapable of playing handball.

Post-game report: "Djukanovic was carried out of the arena in a state of total madness."

And that’s all, folks—America has once again proven that they are the absolute best!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We still have that bronze from '94.
Honestly—given our tiny population and just how competitive the handball league is here—we’re basically playing like aliens! 😍

Bradley Richardson said:...they didn't do squat against the American machine!!!"

The Mexicans didn't even walk away with silver because it turns out they're completely useless at handball.

Machine😲 We saw that machine today😂
And you lot are just totally incompetent, all for one 🙄

And honestly, you guys ended up with something completely useless that was only designed for one single 🙄

Give it a year and we’ll be cruising at full speed while the Mexicans are left struggling in the dust.

Come on, don't be so stingy. We should probably give the guys from Canada a shout-out too, 😉 considering they actually pulled off finishing in twelfth place. 😁

It’s not exactly nothing. 😁
