Honestly—it feels like we're just getting robbed blind at this point. $10 As for the ticket—honestly, sometimes you just pay up. $12So, I’m supposed to sit through fifteen minutes of commercials for AT&T or FOX right before the movie starts? Great. Look, I get the whole "if you don't pay, you get ads" logic—that's how FOX works—but when they start shoving ads for services I already pay a premium for onto my paid screen... that's a pretty bold way to treat customers.

I’d sue them—honestly, it’s just the height of audacity.

👍 👍 👍

I'm in! Count me in.

People claim they hate ads—yet somehow, we still let them beat us over the head with them every single day.😕 Why isn't there a law against this? I don't pay an AMC Theatres ticket just to sit through a mountain of garbage commercials.👎

Chicago Blackhawks fans said:So, I finally hit up AMC Theatres today after a while, and I actually sat there counting:
The movie was scheduled for 21:10, but the actual trailers didn't even start until 21:12. By the time we hit 21:21, we’d sat through 14 commercials. That's, what, 9 minutes of my life gone?

P.S. I wasn't counting the trailers—I actually enjoy those, helps me see what else is coming out. This just refers to the endless ads for Coca-Cola and other random junk 🙄

I was at that same AMC recently too, and man, those ads are annoying. They really try to shove it down your throat!😠

Does it even make sense to start flooding them with complaint letters? Even if it feels a bit low-level—it honestly makes me sick... ticket prices at AMC Theatres can climb up to $17 and then they just assault us with commercials for 20 minutes straight (yesterday, we were stuck for exactly 20!)!!!

Honestly, it’s getting exhausting. Just this past Friday, I was sitting there at AMC Theatres, and it felt like the previews alone dragged on for twenty-five minutes.

Maybe we should all just coordinate and show up twenty minutes late to the movie together...

Are we talking actual commercials, or just endless movie trailers?

Has anyone been to a movie theater in England lately?

The amount of ads they shove down your throat is such a massive pain in the ass. Honestly, America is much more pleasant by comparison.

A solid half hour 🙄 and I’m not even talking about the trailers, just straight-up commercials. It’s mostly just mobile carriers and those annoying anti-piracy spots.

I was honestly on the verge of just getting up and walking out mid-screening.

What's up. Honestly, who actually hates watching movie trailers? I don't get it. For years now, if you're a chill person, you probably show up to the AMC Theatres about 10 minutes late anyway, so those ads are basically a gift. It’s like a little mental reset before the show starts. Plus, whenever I'm meeting up with a buddy and drag them to the theater just so we don't have to spend an hour talking over coffee, those ads give us a perfect window to catch up quickly. Long live the commercials. 👍

Probably both.
