6 GB, after I finally went through the hassle of cleaning out all those songs just sitting there gathering dust, never even touching them. It used to be 8 😁

Honestly, my problem isn't that I want to be a player—it's just that I'm lazy! It happens all the time: I'll get these spindle packs of MP3s, and I’ll dump everything straight onto my hard drive. Am I really going to sit there sorting through them and deleting the junk right away? No way, I'll do it when I feel like it. Then, about two weeks later, I'll rush through and delete maybe half of the stuff (since I know for a fact I'm never listening to it anyway), but that other half? It just drifts forever in the void of digital limbo.
I’ve tried a few times to sit down, sort through that massive mountain of junk, and finally burn it all, but honestly? I give up after about two hours every single time. Why is it always such a slog? 😬

I’ve got roughly 40GB of organized MP3 files—plus maybe another 30-35GB of unsorted stuff floating around—and my movie collection takes up about 20-30GB, though I tend to either wipe them or let them sit there after watching. I also have a fair amount of various video files that aren't exactly feature films—think music videos, random funny clips, short animated movies, and famous chicks...

I've got this tiny little Hard Drive, maybe 30 GB, so I'm only keeping my newest tracks on there—just about 1 or 2 GB worth of stuff I haven't even bothered to burn to CDs yet.
Anyway, I’ve already got something like 60 MP3 CDs put together, all neatly labeled and organized by genre.

Right now I've got about 8 gigs on my hard drive, but I'll be burning that onto a DVD soon to join the rest of my 70 gigs of MP3s😁

I’ve got about twenty MP3 discs that I listen to on repeat, and then there’s God knows how many more audio and MP3 discs buried in boxes, which are inside other boxes, which are tucked away inside even larger boxes...

I was honestly losing my mind yesterday over this one disc that just decided it was done for good and wouldn't read anymore! 😠
Anyway, I think I have about 9 MP3 files on my computer now (not MB or GB, but actual individual tracks 😬 ) ever since that one infamous Windows installation swallowed up about 300 MB worth of MP3s. I know it's not a huge deal, but I guess you get kind of attached to them when you used to download everything via Napster on a slow dial-up connection... like, back 4 or 5 years ago...

Burning CDs is such a hassle. By the time you actually track down the right disc, you’ve already lost interest in the music anyway. Burning endless stacks of CDs feels like a total waste of time. Is there even anything worth listening to? Not to mention the constant headache of discs spinning out or getting scratched.
The hard drive holds what it holds, and everything else is just sitting on the internet waiting for you. 🙂

I am currently making plans to burn all my MP3 files onto CDs, purely as a backup measure. I spent an incredible amount of effort tracking everything down, so it would be devastating if I lost it all due to some technical glitch...
That said, everything is staying on the Hard Drive. It is honestly such a tedious chore to grab an MP3 CD, swap it in, and get it running; you eventually just lose interest in listening altogether. As it stands, I have everything organized right in my Winamp Media Library.
By the way, do any of you actually use the Media Library?

Honestly, you can't really blame anyone else when you decide to go with cheap, bottom-of-the-barrel media 🙂. I've got some old Verbatim and Traxdata discs at home that are already 7 or 8 years old, and they still play perfectly fine without any issues
