I was really holding out hope for some dates in Chicago, but it looks like that's just not happening...
No, there’s been this persistent rumor floating around that they might actually hold the concert in Ljubljana instead—basically making up for that cancelled show from the last tour when everything went sideways due to food poisoning 😕.
But honestly, I haven't seen a single official announcement or any concrete info posted anywhere yet.....

Does anyone here know anything more than what I'm hearing?

Nah, there's just rumors they might play in St. Louis instead—partly to make up for that canceled gig from the last tour when they dealt with food poisoning 😕.

Last weekend they were out filming the video for "ohne dich" somewhere out in the hills, or so I heard. It sounds pretty dark, I guess. 😁 👍

By the way, have any of you actually heard of "Böhse Onkelz"? Just another German Rock band, really. I think they're pretty great myself. 😁
(Maybe try listening to "Kirche" or "turpentine")

They actually never even were. It’s just that journalists insisted on painting them as Nazis 🙄 (kind of like how they do with Rammstein sometimes 😁 )

Ugh, that one guy's voice from Rammstein is seriously getting on my nerves... I mean, don't get me wrong, they can definitely drop a killer riff now and then, but besides that? Nothing special. Just heard that "America" track or something like that on the radio

Regarding that bit about Ljubljana—honestly, it's nothing more than a totally unverified rumor, though I have to admit it makes a certain kind of sense and really stirs up some hope... My source insists it's a hundred percent certain, but can we really trust that?

Yes, that is indeed the original snippet from the post that guy left online; if you were to translate it into English, it would read:
“Seeking well-built 18-30 year olds to slaughter”

Rammstein is actually a place in Germany. There was this plane crash there one year where a bunch of people died... Maybe that's why they chose the name. Or maybe they're hinting at it... 🤔

I think the date should actually be February 5th in Ljubljana—at least, that's what I came across while browsing some sites—but if you check the official website, it looks like they have that specific day reserved for some other city in the EU

Hmm, where did you hear that? The closest thing I can find is Vienna... but everything seems to be out of reach for me right now, including Vienna... and Ljubljana would probably be my best bet if anything works out... man, what a mess.😢

Honestly, I was pretty sure Rammstein was just some massive wooden beam used to smash through doors back in the day! Makes sense though, right? I mean, isn't Ram basically wood and Stein just stone?

No, it's not quite like that... RAMM is... well, you can't really translate it properly. It’s more like some kind of "heavy impact." And STEIN just means stone...

The whole name Rammstein actually comes from that tragic accident at Ramstein—that's how it's spelled, though, I think they added an extra "m" to signify that "heavy impact" thing 😉.

And that crash involving the CDU happened back in '97 (or something like that), when that BirgenAir plane went down (if I recall correctly, it was some flight over Turkey). Around 130 people lost their lives; nobody survived.

Of course, if my memory serves me right 😉 (not that I have the exact figures on hand)

Essentially, nobody actually knows the real reason those six guys picked the name "Rammstein," but there are a few big theories. One is that it translates to a stone battering ram—you know, "ramming" plus "stone." Then there's the idea that they named themselves after the Ramstein airbase in Germany, which was the site of a massive airshow tragedy. That same crash actually inspired "Herzeleid," which happened to be the very first song Rammstein ever wrote.

...well, you aren't exactly far off, but you've got your terms mixed up. What you're describing sounds more like a "battering ram," whereas Rammstein is actually the name of a German city that hosts a major US Air Force base... which is where that horrific tragedy occurred during an air show rally. You might remember when one of the pilot's planes went down in flames right over the crowd and exploded!
