No, seriously, Wes Anderson really needs to branch out and find some fresh faces,
instead of relying on the exact same troupe of actors to populate every single one of his films.

A little bit of casting variety wouldn't hurt, you know?

People love to throw around the phrase "signature style" when talking about directors, but if anyone actually owns a trademark on a visual aesthetic, it’s Wes Anderson. Based on the trailer, we’re looking at another one of his stylized spectacles😁 and the cast is absolutely stacked—it's basically an Avengers-level gathering of talent in one place.

I'm looking forward to it.

It feels like every other Anderson film I’ve seen, which is both exhilarating and deeply underwhelming at the same time. 😛
I truly wish he would branch out and tackle some different subject matter.

Anyone catch The French Dispatch yet?

I wasn't exactly blown away. Something just felt... missing. Don't get me wrong, the production design is top-tier, but I can't help feeling he leaned too hard on the visuals and skimped on the actual plot and characters.

I feel like it’s missing that certain something... the casting, the color palette, the whole setup is great... but it just lacks soul, much like how it felt when I watched The Grand Budapest Hotel. 🙂
