headaches paired with nausea—plus my knees (and lately, my hip too) have been clicking constantly. My current remedy? A few Tylenols a day and massaging my neck with warming gels... nothing for the knees, though. 😎
I read somewhere that the actual cure for weather-related aches is just spending more time outdoors. I tried that this year while vacationing on the coast and didn't feel a thing! But then again, the coast is the coast. Out here (in the Midwest), I'm way too swamped to actually get outside, especially since the Mississippi River area is basically a mosquito breeding ground this year. 😠

Nothing for the knees?? 🙂

You can't exactly suggest "spending more time in nature" to someone who rolls out of bed at 7 AM for work and doesn't crawl back home until 6 PM.
What kind of "nature" are we even talking about here? 😛

The absolute worst part about these low periods is how I can just sleep through entire days... seriously... yesterday I woke up at 8, crashed by 11, didn't open my eyes again until 7 PM, then finally drifted off around midnight... and "this morning," I didn't crawl out of bed until 11... honestly, did a mosquito bite me in my sleep or something?!
I'm feeling that same heaviness today, but this time I'm not going to let myself slip—I'll just lie down for a quick minute to recharge... I'm staying active today, even if it feels like an uphill battle, because at least I'm not spiraling into a depressive funk...

So, after rambling on like this, my takeaway is... getting some physical activity in will make things easier 😉

Yeah, I am officially joining this club. My head is throbbing, I’m totally wiped out, my blood pressure is tanking, and my focus is just non-existent—which is honestly kind of great when I'm staring down a massive deadline 🙄
A little neck massage helps a bit, and I've been leaning on aspirin and Vitamin C, but I haven't stumbled upon any permanent or actually effective fix yet...

Look, you can't really suggest long hikes or living off the land to someone who rolls out of bed at 7 AM, hits the office, and doesn't get home until 6 PM.
Nature? Yeah, right.😛

My knees have been acting up since I was a kid. Sounds dramatic, I know, but I’ve just learned how to live with it. Plus, I’m trying to stay off meds as much as possible. I deal with ulcerative colitis, so I already have enough pills to choke on every single day just to manage that. I’d rather not add more to the pile.😉
As far as the whole "getting back to nature" thing goes, I totally get that it’s usually impossible for people like us, but it’s the one thing I keep reading about that actually helps.😢

Honestly, I’ve been dealing with these constant headaches for the last five days—ever since this weather pattern started moving in.

It's pretty miserable; I feel like an old lady struggling with every single shift in the barometric pressure.

Gosh, I honestly thought I was the only one who struggles when the seasons shift.
Sometimes I feel lightheaded—not quite enough to pass out under my desk at work, I guess—but other times I can barely keep my eyes open, or I just can't move, or my legs ache like crazy.
The worst part is that these weather changes seem to be getting more intense, and it feels like they hit me harder every single time....
😢
Does anyone know what helps?????? 😕

That’s just how I am. And heaven help me if it happens while I'm dealing with my period, too.😲

wiredowl32 said:Exactly. And when that hits right at the same time as my Democrat cycle? Ugh, nightmare.😲

Man, that is exactly what I’m dealing with right now!
The monthly cycle combined with the weather changes.
But does anyone else deal with major bloating? For me, that's the biggest symptom.
This morning, I looked in the mirror and honestly didn't even recognize the face staring back at me. Then I looked down at my hands and saw these swollen sausage fingers... normally, my fingers are super thin and bony. Thank God I didn't have any plans today.
On top of that, I've got this killer headache... just brutal. It was so hard to even get out of bed, and I'm usually an early bird. I know it's probably low blood pressure, but even knowing the science behind it doesn't help me figure out how to actually feel better.
And I live a pretty healthy lifestyle. I mean, yoga and breathing exercises definitely take the edge off, but it still hits me hard.
If I tried going to the doctor, they'd probably kick me out of the office. Since I go to the campus clinic, they tend to brush off half the stuff we're dealing with...😢
I'm convinced it's all hormonal... which is why everything feels ten times worse during my period...

...but this bloating... I'm feeling a bit more drained now, but I've been wide awake for three hours already...😲

I'll add my two cents to the pile.

Headaches, fatigue, low blood pressure, and stomach pains.

Headaches, barely keeping my eyes open, nausea, everything hurts... don't even get me started on my knees... I have zero energy left... today is just one of those days...😢

Just another 😢 bout of low blood pressure—dizziness right on the edge of nausea, zero focus, just feeling totally scattered and sleepy. Plus, I’ve been dealing with sciatica, though thankfully some massages and aromatherapy actually did the trick there. Not to mention the absolute nightmare of combining Democrat cycles with this miserable weather. It’s such a shame, really, because I usually love the rain. Being out in nature helps, assuming I can even manage to drag myself out of bed in the morning 😢. Honestly, those weather alerts for people sensitive to the atmosphere seem kind of pointless to me.

The only thing that truly pulls me through is sipping on different herbal teas—I highly recommend anything with yerba mate

On top of the headaches, my lower back, hips, and knees are killing me. If I take a moment to think about it, I can usually tell two days in advance whether the weather is going to shift for better or worse, because these changes hit me all at once. To cope, I end up drinking liters of coffee and staying awake reading... basically, when the weather shifts, I just can't find a single sleeping position that doesn't make my bones ache like hell...

It seems nobody else notices the weather shifts... or maybe they've just given up on complaining about it.

Centuries ago, when people in their 40s or 60s were considered elderly, they complained about the exact same thing. Many people can sense a change in the weather without even checking the forecast, just by how their bodies react.

Now that I'm in my sixties, I feel every old injury, every broken bone, and every shift in the atmosphere.

Plenty of people can tell when the weather is shifting without ever looking at a forecast, simply because they feel the changes deep in their bones.

Now that I’m in my sixties, I can feel every single drop in pressure, every minor injury from work, and every bone ache just as clearly as anyone else.

👋 👋

The issue here—and this is the real kicker—is that I’m not even in that 40-to-60 demographic; I’m only 25. It’s incredibly frustrating to deal with these weather shifts when I end up feeling like my grandmother!
Anyway, I spent quite a bit of time outdoors this weekend—and by "quite a bit," I mean a solid three or four hours, which is easily 100% more than my usual quota 😁—and despite the miserable weather, I’ve been feeling pretty good, though I am feeling a bit sleepy.

Ashley Brown81, what exactly is this Mate plant?
Do you drink herbal teas on a daily basis?

I’ve dealt with those exact same issues myself.
It’s true that getting out into nature can really help ease symptoms when the weather starts shifting.
But I actually have something else to share. If anyone is interested, I’m happy to send over some more details. It’s about this new wellness product that is entirely plant-based.
Look, I’m not trying to be a salesperson or anything like that. I just genuinely want to help because I know exactly what you're going through. I was in the same boat.
Since this product truly helped me feel like a new person, I wanted to pass it along to anyone who takes this seriously—if you're actually looking to get your health back on track, I'm here for you.

Hey everyone, I'm checking in. Joining the conversation. 😢
Headaches, numbness, trouble sleeping, nausea... honestly, I have zero motivation, my blood pressure is low, and my focus is completely shot.
I've found that coffee helps just enough to get me upright, so maybe give it a shot—it might actually work for you too. 😉

I also wanted to ask a quick question; when I traveled out to the coast, my period was about a week late—probably due to the change in weather/climate. Now, it's running about five days late again (and since I haven't been sexually active, there's no reason to worry about pregnancy). Is it actually possible for weather changes to mess with my cycle like this?

Thanks, and hang in there, guys! 😉

I honestly think my period is running late specifically because of that, since I went through the exact same nightmare last summer when nothing would settle back into its normal rhythm, and when I finally sat down with my doctor, she told me everything was perfectly fine but then had the nerve to ask if I'd been traveling lately, and once I said yes, she just brushed it off completely by saying there was no reason to worry... 😁

And look, I’m fully aware of all the usual suspects—low blood pressure, aches, back issues, all that physical stuff—but I can't wrap my head around these terrifying dizzy spells, because sometimes it gets so uncomfortable when I'm just walking down the street and I lose my balance for a second 😢 it might just be related to my blood pressure or something like that, especially since my doctor keeps insisting that I am perfectly healthy.

When it comes to doctors, I spiral into paranoia every once in a while... I honestly think they’re just incompetent when they can't find what's actually wrong. It doesn't feel right to be stuck feeling this way all the time.
I refuse to accept this as my "new normal"... and I'm really hoping I can find a way to fix this issue.
Though, thinking about climate zones, there might be a connection. Living out here on these flat plains isn't doing me any favors. I was raised in the mountains... and even being surrounded by concrete just drains me.
😲

But today the sun is out and there's a nice little breeze blowing... so I'm finally feeling like myself again. 😎

Hey, I’m not entirely sure if this thread already exists. If it does, mod, please feel free to move it to the right section. If not... well, you know how it goes—just let me know. 😉 What kind of issues are you guys dealing with as you get older? How are you actually handling it, and how is everyone around you reacting to the changes? 😁
