However, I’ve now become psychologically dependent on this damn Normabel. It’s reached a point where I can't even enjoy a celebration. I have my child's christening coming up soon, and normally, I’d enjoy a drink at an event like that once a year—any sane person would, especially for a milestone like a christening. But now, even if I wanted to have a little fun and relax on that day, I can't touch alcohol, let alone even think about taking Normabel.

Back when I was younger and perhaps a bit more reckless, I didn't deal with any of this pain. But ever since I started living a more "adult" life—meaning, attempting to maintain a healthy, disciplined routine—everything has just gone to hell. 😁

Why exactly are you taking Normabel every single day?
Can you fall asleep without it?

Your symptoms, combined with the lack of organic pathology, suggest anxiety—likely your body's way of reacting to the stress you mentioned. That feeling of darkness or heaviness in your eyes, despite having healthy eye exams, can also be a manifestation of the same thing.

Regarding that "popping in your ear" when you swallow or chew—it could be subluxation of the temporomandibular joint. This isn't uncommon, especially with malocclusion, and many people naturally have hypermobile joints.
I have personally seen people manifest anxiety through this disorder, or through musculoskeletal symptoms, alongside the most common issues like stomach pain or gastritis.

You are young, you are positive, and you have a beautiful family. My advice is to try reducing your intake of Normabel and gradually weaning yourself off it.
When you feel those hot flashes, heart palpitations, or whatever else hits you, don't reach for the pills immediately. Instead, focus on your diet, stay active, and redirect your concentration toward something positive.
As difficult as it sounds, try not to dwell on these problems.

If you develop a dependency on this type of medication now and continue seeing doctors hoping they will find a physical cause, you will enter a vicious cycle that could seriously damage your health.

Good luck. 🙂
