Does anyone else feel like this was easily one of the absolute worst movies to ever crawl out of the nineties?
Honestly, we might be looking at the next Tim Burton... LOL!

At this rate, we might be looking at the next Ed Wood! LMAO!

BOOOOOOOO! Honestly, I thought this was just a teaser for when it hits cable. Besides, it can't possibly be that bad if they've got a ten-foot-tall Daryll Hannah running around in some skimpy outfit!

I haven't actually sat down to watch this flick yet, but honestly, just based on the title alone and that plot description? It sounds absolutely fascinating!! 😁

Hahaha... I guess great minds really do think alike. πŸ˜‚ πŸ‘

Actually, no...
I actually liked it.
The original black and white version was pure trash, sure,
but this new one isn't...

I also feel like the movie serves as a metaphor for a womanβ€”or just a person, reallyβ€”standing on their own two feet and fighting back against people trying to suppress them, blah blah blah...

Daryl Hannah is a decent actress, πŸ™‚
and she was great in this one.

I suppose I agree. πŸ‘

A person wouldn't exactly say: "Daryl Hannah has this absolute jerk of a husband who cheats on her, then she gets struck by some magical cosmic ray, grows to Wonder Woman proportions, and gets her revenge. YEAH!" The metaphor is about as subtle as a sledgehammer.

Still, I suppose I might actually want to sit through that spectacle.

Look, even if the plot is ridiculous, I’d still probably sit down and watch that mess.

If I remember correctly, it wasn't just the husband,
her father was also giving her trouble. 😳

I think I actually have a copy of that movie somewhere.

Heh, finally gonna record this mess onto a disc

10:00 PM.

Whooptyβ€”well. It’s probably for the best that I don't track down NeT, otherwise I wouldn't be able to watch anything at all. What a mess. 😒

I suppose I should at least appreciate the good intentions. πŸ‘‹

I sat through that movie and it was mind-numbingly dull, even factoring in the lineup (Daryl Hannah, Wonder Woman Daryl Hannah, etc.).

The issue is that it’s a remake. It feels like it's trying too hard to be *bad*, and that's a losing game.
The only redeeming quality is the poster. It features a giant Daryl Hannah in the background, with people running and screaming in the foregroundβ€”except they aren't even people, just cardboard cut-outs lifted from those old-school monster movie posters.

Still, the original film's poster remains superior. A classic.

PROVE IT OR TAKE IT BACK!!!!

I'm posting BOTH posters so we can actually compare them. 😁

I couldn't find this second poster in its entiretyβ€”specifically the one with those cardboard cutoutsβ€”even though I remember seeing it in an old issue of "Hollywood."

Look, here's the thing...
It's only boring if you're expecting some cheap 1950s trash flick...
This is more of a surrealist drama, like some cinematic fairy tale...
And personally? I loved it...

Plus,
Daryl Hannah is great... in any movie she's in.

Oh, please, just throw in the phrase "delicious satire" and I'll lose any remaining desire to actually watch the movie.πŸ™‚

Yes, yes, I am well aware that you have a certain penchant for sadism. I had foolishly assumed we had all become immune to it by now. πŸ™‚

Yeah, yeah, I get it. You clearly love this sadistic stuff. I honestly thought we’d all developed an immunity to this nonsense by now. πŸ™‚

haha 😁 😁
So, here's your choice:

"Wonder Woman Attacks"!
or Attack of the unknown!

Yeah...
Finally sat down and rewatched it..
And honestly, I catch a new detail every single time..
The way they wove the psychology into the plot is brilliantβ€”something I’ve mentioned before.

I can't bring myself to agree with John's take about this being the worst movie of the 90s..
If anything, I'd rank it as one of my absolute favorites from that decade.

- I truly believe if we were all honest, we'd admit we're just victims of these incredibly unrealistic, stifling ideas regarding masculinity.
- You're right. That's where all the anger and hostility stem from. We've been disconnected from those old-school definitions of manhood and femininity. It creates this massive wave of insecurity that we men feel in the modern world.
