It’s good to see you backβ€”honestly, things have been so quiet lately that seeing your posts pop up really makes my day.

Have you grown? 😁

So, what's the deal with this McLaren situation? Are they actually going to pull the plug and sit out the rest of the season with that new car? 😁

Carl Foster8 said:Is there any actual progress being made on that McLaren of yours, or are they just going to sit out the rest of the season with this current car?😁

The latest updates I've seen were actually about their partnership with FordπŸ‘

They're making steady gains.😁 I’d say most other teams haven't even come close to finishing their new models yet, whereas McLaren has been out on the track for months now, breaking one record after another.πŸ‘

Rain Bow said:Well, I'm glad to see you too! It feels like there haven't been many posts lately, so seeing both of us popping up really brightens my day.

People are posting plenty, just not in this specific corner of the forum.😁 I actually just hit my 2,000th post under this username, though I probably should be closer to 3,000 since my first account was deleted right around the 1,000-post mark.

Rain Bow said:Have you grown??? 😁

Yes, but in all the wrong directions!😁 I definitely overdid it on the Christmas cookies this year.😳

Correct me if I'm wrong here...
Isn't this car supposed to be for next season?

Not quite. While the MP4-18 was retired, the new MP4-19 actually uses its core design as a foundation. They've essentially taken that base and integrated an entirely new aero package along with updated safety features. Everything else has been refined too, and the testing phase is still in full swing.

I’m voting for the FIA post as my pick for Post of the Year. It’s quite something when they admit they don't actually know much about Formula 1, quoting themselves: "I don't know much about formula, I just improvise." They even went as far as calling for the McLaren crew to get together ("...come out of your burrows."), especially since there's footage of Hakkinen overtaking both Zonta and Michael Schumacher... and so on. 😁 πŸ‘‹

Can you even begin to wrap your head around how absolutely incompetent the FIA is? πŸ™‚

Austin Evans regarding Montezemolo:
Can you believe how intense the FIA can be? It’s honestly wild... πŸ™‚

You really hit the nail on the head there!πŸ˜› 😁

Honestly, I barely ever check this place online lately. I’m always running around in circles, so I don't have much time to sit around overthinking which posts or users deserve attention, but I will make an exception for
THE BIGGEST MOMENT ON THIS FORUM: Appointing Blackbird as a moderator

Though I have to ask Austin Evansβ€”calling me the "Most Stubborn Formula Fan of the Year" is some kind of twisted compliment or what!?!?😠

Big thanks to Blackbird for putting me front and center, and thanks to mistybear87 for bumping my thread right up there!

As for the rest of you, I’ll forgive you since you clearly don't know what you're doing!
One day, when I've finally moved on from this forum, you'll all find yourselves missing my insights and my threads, maybe shedding a little nostalgic tear or two...
That's just how it goes for misunderstood geniuses like us.

😁

Happy New Year, everyone!

I think the FIA actually gave you a complimentβ€”though it might be unfair to leave out WayOut, who’s just as persistent as you are.

Honestly, I have so much respect for your tenacity; it can't be easy rooting for someone who fails to finish ninety percent of their races.

I've always had a distaste for those people who jump from one winner to the next every single year just to follow the leader!

Look, I stopped misinterpreting everything you say a long time ago. It’s just that since you left out a smiley face and used that angry emoji, suddenly I'm the one being sensitiveβ€”like I'm just looking for an excuse to start a fight.😁

Damian said:I stopped trying to decode your logic a long time ago, honestly. It’s just that whenever you drop one of those aggressive punctuation marks and forget a single smiley face, I end up looking like the idiot who's overreacting to everything.😁

You’re prone to outbursts, occasionally... πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜›
