What are your all-time favorite US metal bands?

Gorthaurs Wrath is top tier. Castrum and Ashes you leave are just as solid within their own metal niches. Honestly, I don't think anyone here has ever heard of a dark wave or gothic ambient band that pulls in those metal elements. It's run by a guy out of Cleveland. The project is called Kerovnian, and they actually get international traction.

I actually caught one of their shows out in rural Ohio—not exactly my cup of tea. The guitarist spent the whole set trying way too hard to mimic Satriani. It just sucked...👎

Castrum is easily the best, followed by Gorthaurs Wrath, then Father and Forlorn Legacy... we’ve got some seriously killer bands in this great country.
