Skateboarding: Tips, tricks, gear reviews, and everything in between

So, I tried out a friend's skateboard yesterday... and ended up slamming right into a wall. 🙂
I definitely prefer watching other people skate instead...

Back at it again with the skating. I haven't forgotten how to do it, I guess I’m just moving a little slower these days; ;D

Are you a professional skater, or do you simply enjoy riding without any particular skill or technique?😕

If you’re asking about rails or vert ramps, then no, I'm not really into that; I mostly just ride freestyle with big wheels.
That said, I’ve definitely hit some stairs (or, more accurately, just skipped them entirely while going downhill 😁—like those ones right in front of the Mimara museum), and I once cleared a 50-inch fence straight from the pavement without even using a ramp. I also played plenty of hockey and have always had a bit of a need for speed.
Like I mentioned, I used to roll for about eight hours a day, and honestly, I probably moved better on skates than I did on my own two feet. 😁)
The only time I ever ended up in the hospital was once, and I was stuck there for a week. 😁

My rollerblades are ancient; the axles are bent, so they're incredibly slow.
Riding them isn't exactly as smooth as it used to be, so I probably need to pick up some new ones.
Until then, I guess I'd much rather just go water skiing. 🙂

I would also be interested in attempting this on water, as well as in the snow...😎
Is it perhaps less hazardous than skateboarding or rollerblading? 🙄 😕

Man, those were the days... I still remember when I used to spend all my time skating. Pretty sure I was obsessed with playing Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 or maybe 4. Honestly, I was pulling off some pretty sick tricks back then. 🙏

Oh, yeah, totally. I hopped on a skateboard, wiped out hard, and honestly? I haven’t touched my board since. My "world-class" skating skills have been gathering dust ever since.

I honestly don't know much about this stuff... I've always been more of a bike guy myself.

I've been skating for about three years now. I broke my arm after the first year, but honestly, that wasn't enough to make me quit. I love the grind too much.

Skateboarding isn't just a hobby; it's a lifestyle.🙂

Skateboarders are just attractive people. I don't think you'll find anyone more attractive than a skater (though, I suppose, please don't try to force my personal tastes on everyone else, much like how 😍 does
