Heartbreak

For quite some time now, a close friend of mine has been complaining about this persistent heartache. She’s only 22, so I find it hard to believe there's anything physically wrong, though I can't entirely rule it out. I've strongly suggested she go see a doctor for a checkup, but she's being incredibly stubborn about it and refuses to go.
Has anyone else ever dealt with a situation like this?

Could be her lungs or something else entirely. Maybe even the spleen, though that's usually sitting a bit lower down.

It could just be some sinus arrhythmia, which I think a ton of people deal with, honestly...

Aside from those stabs—which can get pretty intense sometimes, I guess—there aren't really any other big consequences, and you can totally live a normal life with it...

She should probably just go get an EKG done...

What kind of pain is it? When does it happen, and what other symptoms are you seeing?

Some people get these weird, fluttering sensations around their heart from time to time, but it doesn't actually turn out to be any specific illness or disorder... still, if that pain sticks around, they really need to see a cardiologist or at least their primary care doctor.

I had the exact same experience two years ago. I went in for an echocardiogram and everything came back perfectly normal, so they suggested it might just be due to my chronically low blood pressure....😕
It seems like every summer when the heat hits, I start feeling terrible, and sometimes I even get chest pains...

...look, when it comes to younger people, that chest pain is most often just psychogenic. You really don't need to panic, but if it keeps happening, go see a doctor and get checked out anyway...
