Alright. The season of pre-exam deadlines has officially kicked in... and last night, I was hit by such an inexplicable wave of panic and anxiety that I had to abandon my coffee date immediately and just get home—it wasn’t even about anything I saw online during those three hours of scrolling, it just happened, and I needed to be 😁.

I’m curious, how do you all deal with this pre-exam stress and panic? Studying? Obviously, yes, there's no question about that, but even then, I’m left with this horrible, lingering sense of dread that I just can't shake...

I really hope I’m not the only one freaking out now that we're heading into the middle of the semester... because if I am, I’m going to feel even worse...😁

God, this anxiety... the nerves before exams are killing me. I should probably shut up already.

I didn't really deal with this back when I was just doing my regular coursework and standard finals. I guess everything moved faster than I could process it, so I never had time to overanalyze things, and panic never really caught me by surprise.
But lately? It’s been a total nightmare. 😲 (I'm talking about this whole crisis during the final graduation exam period).
The worst part is when I start deep-diving into these endless philosophical loops, thinking things like: "I won't take anything else this month. I'll just wrap things up 😎 study a little more, and then I'll definitely pass." 🤮

And that feeling of being useless—of constantly wasting time (coffee, scrolling, TV, and one particular hobby of mine I won't mention right now)—it just doesn't stop. It’s brutal when the guilt starts eating at me, so I try to actually sit down and study, but then 😕 .

I don't know. I'm just sitting here venting instead of actually grinding.

But those "butterflies in your stomach" people talk about during exams? Yeah, they're pure horror.

Maybe I should give Persen a look... I mean, it's all-natural anyway...

By June, I’ll be facing five different exams... and most of them have two-year cycles. Honestly... they aren't thinking straight! 😲

I have no idea how I'm going to pull this off... I'll show up for every single exam date (even if I fail), but I haven't even opened a book yet...
I don't know... I just don't know... it's awful. I guess it's easier for me when I'm venting 😁

Come on, tell me I'm not the only one. It looks like there are still people out there who actually have to study, rather than just not feeling like it 😁

Alright, I’m feeling a little better now...😁

Around this time last year, I picked up some Vigopan supplements—supposedly they help with focus while studying—but honestly, I didn't feel any difference at all. Has anyone else tried them?

And as for Persen... I don't know. I always have this nagging fear about taking any kind of supplement like that—that it'll just numb my brain or leave me feeling totally sluggish, making it impossible to function normally in other areas of my life...

To be honest, I really believe that if I can just force myself to stay home long enough, eventually, the studying will actually start happening. The worst part is that I’m constantly guessing or just completely ignoring deadlines—I just look at the month number and call it a day—so everything ends up piling up all at once... and don't even get me started on how much time I waste scrolling through social media...

Buaaaaa !!!!!!!!!!!

p.s. definitely getting wasted once this is all over!!!!!😛

Around this time last year, I was staring down a massive exam. I’d been grinding for it for months—varying degrees of intensity, you know how it goes—but about a week before the big day, total panic set in. I was studying non-stop, fueling my anxiety with endless cups of coffee, and sleep became a complete stranger. I was lucky if I managed three or four hours of restless, terrible sleep.
My mom—who usually treats all medication like it’s poison—actually went out to the pharmacy herself to grab some Persen. And honestly? It’s total garbage. Just herbal tea in a pill form. The instructions said a standard dose was two tablets. Well, not only did I stay wide awake, but it didn't soothe my nerves one bit; it was completely ineffective. So, two nights later, I doubled down and took four. Still nothing.
The leftovers are still sitting in my drawer.
But ever since then—there is absolutely no way I am letting myself spiral like that again. I have a few more major exams coming up, but no way—I’d much rather take them at a slower pace than endure that kind of academic meltdown once more. 😎
That’s actually why I’ve pushed back several exams already; just the thought of it 😳makes me hit a wall of panic immediately, knowing I'll have to spend an entire week cramming just to stay afloat.
You really have to start early... 😁 😁

I’m usually the type who doesn't even realize the pressure is building until the day before an exam hits. And then? It’s pure horror...

But this year is just different. My schedule is absolutely slammed through both May and June. Thank God I finally got my act together a bit earlier than usual, I guess. Maybe those recent scares with my leftover sophomore year finals finally shook some sense into me, but man, the panic right now is UNREAL!

I know I’m probably going to be pulling all-nighters.

I suppose things go a little smoother when you don't let yourself get too worked up about everything...

P.S. Vigopan doesn't even do anything for me... If you want to study, you're just going to have to study. Especially when the pressure really starts to mount...

Yeah, that’s pretty much my philosophy too. For instance, instead of heading downtown for coffee this morning, I stayed put, scrolled through some stuff online, and did a bit of studying.
I always feel a little more centered when I stay in, even if the actual studying is minimal...

Unfortunately, I just don't function well under pressure.

It’s just not how I work. When the stress hits, I tend to bail and wait for the next opportunity to retake it. Then I usually end up bailing again...😁

Ughhhhh, no, not at home, nooooooo... Absolutely not, I avoid that at all costs...

I don't know how it is where you guys live, but there is just way too much going on at home. First off, you know everything and everyone, so there's always someone to chat with 🙂, then there’s the TV, videos, the computer, music streaming, magazines, journals, unread books, the fridge, dust on the TV, an unvacuumed carpet, and—worst of all—the PHONE! Man, it's constant; someone calls and suddenly you're out at a pub, wandering downtown, or just hosting people at the house...

The solution is the library. Seriously, I was such a model student today 🙄 hunkered down at my local library starting at 10 AM and grinding away like crazy until almost 4 PM (with one little 45-minute coffee break 😳). Honestly, if anyone tries to call me, I can easily just ignore them because why would I bother trekking across town from where I am? Plus, the atmosphere is actually motivating; seeing everyone else working hard makes you want to do the same... And let's be real, the background isn't exactly exciting—just walls and bookshelves... Even phone games get boring fast... so yeah, whatever, all you're left with is studying...

I have an exam this Friday (in just 😲 days), but I feel strangely calm about it...

I'm not getting worked up at all, even though I am studying just as much.😁

I guess I can be pretty irresponsible sometimes... but I don't think I'm really the type of person to get stressed over stuff like this. I mean, maybe there's a tiny bit of anxiety right before I have to walk into the classroom to answer questions... but it's minimal.

I was calm during my SATs, my college entrance exams, and all the other tests I've taken so far... I'm usually pretty level-headed. Whatever happens, happens.

I had such a massive panic attack this past Sunday. A friend told me I needed to knock back a drink first if we were actually going to get anything done. Well, she was the one who had to down a drink yesterday. And then today? We ended up taking what might be the absolute worst exam of the entire semester—maybe even the whole degree—and we still managed to pull straight A's 😁 😁 😁 After working our tails off for over a month 🙂
So, I finally treated myself to a nice little drink just now 😁

I don't usually get super nervous, just before those big, scary finals

Man, I am seriously feeling the post-exam crash right now: my legs are aching like I just ran a full marathon, and my head is definitely not doing any better (though a cold Budweiser helped a little bit)...

Honestly, I feel just as completely drained after finishing an exam. Leading up to it—I’m wound as tight as a spring—but the second I hop on the bus to head home, it’s like I’ve been run over by a freight train.
Back in my junior year of college, I had to take this incredibly intense exam, and man, was it sweltering. I hadn't eaten anything all day, either. So, out of pure thirst, I practically scrambled into a Starbucks to grab a large iced coffee—and then, because why not, I grabbed a snack too. Oh boy, what a mistake!
Ever since then, my rule has been to go straight home and sleep first; I don't even think about grabbing a drink until later in the evening. 😉 😁
Hang in there, ladies!

Honestly, I just can't focus when I'm studying in those libraries—especially not at the Library of Congress... I can't relax, I can't get comfortable, nothing. Everything feels off because it's so unnervingly quiet. It's such a massive space, yet you're hit with this eerie, hollow silence... just absolute NOTHINGNESS... it gives me the chills...

Either I stay home on my balcony with a mountain of textbooks and enough coffee to power a small city... just flipping through page after page after page...

I haven't actually sat down to study since around October, and frankly, I have no clue how I'm going to pull all of this off...

Anyway, good luck to everyone!!!!! 😉

I can't even bring myself to study at the main city library anymore. I used to spend all my time there, but once I realized I was basically just running into the same group of people over and over, I just gave up. Plus, the vibe is honestly terrible—the lighting is awful, the AC is weird, it’s just gross. Every time I leave NSK, I feel like I've been digging ditches in the sun all day...

There was a period where I used to grind away at the SC, but I eventually got sick of it, so now I've moved over to the city branches.

The library system really needs a shake-up... it would help keep things interesting. 😁 I don't know, though; I guess I'm just glad I finally figured out there's at least one spot where I can actually get stuff done...

I honestly do most of my studying at home, usually alongside a classmate. We have a great system where we take breaks for smokes or grab a quick coffee, and before you know it, we've easily put in an 8 to 10 hour stretch.
I only really head to the library if I have a massive gap between classes and need somewhere to kill some time. I just can't stand sitting in those library chairs; they're so uncomfortable and they totally wreck my back 😁
