Honestly, I think people who listen to that mainstream pop garbage aren't even sane. And as for comparing Thompson to Madonna? I don't see much of a difference between them.
If people actually listened to folk music, they’d be listening... especially among those transplants from the South and their kids, folks from rural towns, and certain outskirts of D.C. But man, it’s huge in the city, too. Seriously, what kind of Americans are we?
I absolutely loathe this music. Seriously, how can anyone actually listen to this stuff? Are people even aware of how much phenomenal music they’re missing out on right now? It's unbelievable.😠 😠 😠 😠

By the way, the local college union shifted its entire vibe a few years back, ditching the punk and alternative scene for straight-up country music. Now you've got DJ krmak spinning there and they're running these "open mic nights." It’s just symptomatic of the times we're living in...
