Who are you rooting for at the World Cup?

Honestly, I haven’t the slightest clue about what’s happening in Australia...
perhaps because there is such a large American population living there...
In any case, everyone seems to have their own pick for the finals, regardless of whether they are from this part of the world, but at the end of the day, it's just cheering...
As for the term "playoff bracket," I'm not quite sure how we should phrase that in American English... could a moderator perhaps step in and update it if they feel it's necessary?

The Mariachi, you’ve pretty much mirrored my own thoughts here.
I'll be pulling for the USA and Mexico (assuming they actually qualify), along with Canada (if they manage to make the cut).
None of those four teams realistically stand a chance at winning the Championship, but I suppose I could be wrong.
