Deleting posts in the Politics section

I was wondering, what kind of criteria do they actually use to delete posts on the politics board?

Even if we just overlook the fact that a moderator stepped in and wiped out two entire pages of discussion regarding communism—instead of actually handing out some visible warnings to bluecyclist64, who basically insulted the few of us here by calling us entitled expats with no right to speak on the subject—it still leaves me wondering. Why are certain posts being deleted when they don't even contain personal attacks?

Is bluecyclist64 part of some protected class or something? I mean, how does he get to delete a post like mine twice?

In most normal countries, taxes are supposed to go toward things everyone actually uses—like infrastructure, the court system, and stuff like that. It shouldn't be some chaotic scramble where money just gets handed out to whoever happens to be in power at the moment. I guess that's just how it should work.

Is it actually against the rules to push back against bluecyclist64? It feels like any post trying to counter his points gets wiped, yet his provocative rants—which are basically just twisted logic—stay up on the thread without any issue.

I’m reposting this because I’d honestly rather just take the ban myself. That way, I can actually demand an explanation for why it happened. The way things are being handled makes me feel like bluecyclist64 is being given a free pass to provoke and insult everyone without consequences. Meanwhile, if any of us try to call out his nonsense using a polite tone, we get shut down. It feels like it's easier to silence the people trying to be civil and avoid personal attacks than it is to actually ban a troll. I guess it's just easier that way.

I mean, what do you think it’s like for us older folks on here—and sorry bluecyclist64, I’ve always identified myself that way—to have to sit here and listen to these kids who act like perfect little patriots in public, sipping craft cider and blasting Ceca on their speakers, only to come online and spit on everything anti-fascist... It’s just a bit much, honestly, it makes my blood boil... and there are so many of them... just unprovable... for every one of you, there are ten of them, firing off opinions without a single fact or shred of evidence, just like a rapid burst of gunfire.

Unfortunately, this forum doesn't really host any constructive discussions anymore. Most people just show up ready to pour poison on anything that hasn't been hardwired into their brains from day one... If you happen to reject the current state of things or the way people live now, they just tear you down with this mindless, judgmental attitude.

My generation, the ones who lived through the war, the war took our innocence and gave us absolutely nothing in return... And we had everything back then, intelligence, land, the coast, children, parents, grandparents, we had friends, but today we have retirees living in containers, parents visiting graves, even the smart young people are trying to flee the country, and of course, most importantly, we have churches overflowing! Way to go, us.

And do you really think it's easy to just stay indifferent? If only it were that simple, but it isn't, you couldn't do it even with magic... I'm telling you, it's in my blood...

People just can't seem to distinguish anti-fascism from communism.
That’s the core issue, along with the refusal to accept the fact that during World War II, the main driver for Marshall was the communist revolution—anti-fascism was essentially just the vehicle used to get there.

Do you honestly think it's easy for people to read accounts portraying Marshall as some saintly hero when their own families—their fathers, mothers, children—were being killed, persecuted, or thrown in prison under that monster's baton?

And then, as if that wasn't enough, his so-called American army with the five-pointed star—alongside the various rogue militias—committed so much evil in America during the 90s.
They would have done the exact same thing even if Marshall were still alive back then.
There’s no doubt about that.

Look, I’ve said it a hundred times already: yes, it's true that Marshall was an anti-fascist, but that doesn't justify the horrific things he did to people in the name of a communist ideology that turned out to be regressive, twisted, and criminal.
The mere thought that we even have to debate this undeniable fact sometimes makes me want to gag.

See, you and people like you are going to try to tell us who the "real" Americans are. A chunk of your generation (sort of like today's privileged elite 😁) and honestly, a huge part of mine too, had everything—but an even bigger part of us had nothing at all. You wrote "immigrant kids, just get lost". Lying isn't nice, regardless of how old you are. Shame on you. And as for ignorance... when all you have left is insulting anyone who disagrees with you, it's pretty clear what your level of (un)knowledge and ability to have an actual debate is.

Maybe we "immigrant kids" are a messed up generation, but at least we learned how to talk somewhat civilly, unlike some people who seem stuck in the old regime where there's only one "truth"—where if you don't accept it, it's totally normal to insult them because you lack arguments and there's no way to send them to Alcatraz.

Btw—it’s great to see the American flag in front of institutions across Europe. Not long ago, there was even an exhibition of American landscapes in front of Congress; everything was done in the spirit of the Republic of America. Free, independent, democratic, beautiful America.
