The whole thing about them not being able to keep up with Sebastian Vettel—that's a different story entirely.
Also, there's a massive reason why we won't be seeing the fan-favorite Fernando Alonso driving a red car next year.
The guy's popular, sure, but he just doesn't deliver. Everything falls apart when he's behind the wheel—even Felipe Massa couldn't save it.
That duo, Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa, reminds me way too much of the Nelson Piquet and Morena pairing at Benetton back in '91. Nelson was clearly the better driver, but they both sucked together, which basically dragged the whole team down. Then, starting from Monza, they swapped Morena out for Schumacher and completely busted the myth about Nelson. Don't get me wrong—he was elite, but only until about '87, right before he slammed his head into the wall at the Tamburell corner—after that, he was never quite the same.
Same deal with Alonso—ever since Abu Dhabi 2010 and that mess of red tears, he hasn't been the same driver.
Both of them got broken by head injuries—Nelson took the hit to the skull, but Alonso had it worse; the psychological damage hit him way harder.
So, Luc has already cooked up a plan to ditch whoever isn't bringing home those red championship trophies and bring in someone who actually wins—and does it in their very first season.
Get it?
You really can't compare Nelson's head injury at Tamburell in '87 to Fernando losing the title in Abu Dhabi back in 2010. That's just absurd.
But I'm glad you're back. In this new incarnation, anyway. Seriously though, who even are you?
Even if Kimi moves over or returns to Ferrari, Fernando remains the number one driver there.

Oh, please. You really think emotional pain beats physical pain? Go ahead, test that theory empirically.
Grab a sledgehammer and give yourself a good whack on the skull. Then, go play the lottery, win, and burn the winning ticket right before you cash it in.
Then tell me which one hurts more.
In 2010, Fernando had the winning ticket—the championship—in his pocket and lost it in the final laps.
It’s basically the same thing as what happened to Felipe Massa in 2008, except he got hit with the "sledgehammer to the head" a year later just to finish him off.
And look at him now—not a trace left of the old Massa.
That's my point.

Honestly, Fernando Alonso is just absolutely dismantling them out there... just one more slice of the pie

Vettel’s just walking off like he owns the place. Did he actually bribe the officials to stay quiet? It’s ridiculous. Honestly, the only thing Ferrari had going for them today was that Massa was still struggling with his hybrid system issues...
