Jesse Ortiz71 said:slybison8 is a solid guy to talk to here on the Forum, but as a Moderator, he’s way too blinded by his own ideological biases—especially when it comes to those PDF politics. Honestly, I have no clue why he agreed to play along with their version of a "right-winger." But if you want my two cents, he totally lost my respect with that whole thing regarding Alexis; seeing him admit to that was just pathetic.

Now everyone is jumping on him, but I wouldn't bet money on him holding a grudge. These people are "polite" about it, even when they're lying through their teeth and manipulating the facts.

And now we’re seeing those typical "leftist" paranoias rearing their heads once again. 🤣 slybison8 is entitled to hold whatever ideological convictions he chooses, and from where I'm sitting, he remains remarkably objective in his role as a Moderator. I consider myself a "leftist," strictly speaking—certainly not part of the right-wing crowd—yet I have never once felt targeted or harassed by his oversight.

Susan Price30 said:And who actually wrote that post? Was it slybison8?

Or are you complaining about posts from various users that none of the Politics moderators banned, even though you (and the thread starter) think they should have been? And then you specifically call out slybison8 and Robert Hall7, blaming them for not banning those posts simply because they happened to be active in the thread at the time.

To me, that seems illogical. Just because someone participates in a thread as a forum user doesn't mean they are acting as moderators for that specific discussion. Objectively speaking, if there's any responsibility to be had, it would fall on the entire Politics moderation team collectively, not just the two people you're targeting here, right?

(Especially when someone is a solid moderator like Robert Hall7 and slybison8; dragging them through a thread or singling them out for something that isn't necessarily their fault feels a bit extreme. That's essentially what I was getting at...😉

And what was the motivation for all this? One single deserved penalty point for a rightfully banned post? Give me a break...

It is actually perfectly appropriate that they didn't moderate the thread while being active participants themselves; if they had stepped in, they would have faced a blatant conflict of interest—imagine the hypocrisy if they started handing out bans just to silence anyone who dared to disagree with them.

Sam Wright21 said:Me, a fan? Hah! You should look at yourself before you start talking 🙂

No, it isn't about fandom; I simply have zero tolerance for any kind of repression. 🤷

Ziher doesn't have some "clique"; if anything, he seems like quite the individualist. However, I think you've interpreted his actions through a rather biased lens here.

I don't tolerate verbal offenses either. But a man is allowed to express his opinion, for heaven's sake.🤷

It's a bit lackluster, I'll admit—especially with those quotes you mentioned, and the fact that he writes in such an odd way—but personally, I would much rather see someone writing whatever they please than deal with the heavy hand of censorship.

Of course they have their little clique. They’ll always jump in to defend one another, whether it’s by handing out bans or just stubbornly clinging to their positions during a debate. And don't go thinking the moderators actually coordinate behind the scenes to protect specific interests; they just work hard to make sure that's exactly how it looks to the public.

Do you really think it's a coincidence that Sean Cooper65 shows up here just to defend slybison8?

Sean Cooper65 said:Haha, what a topic. The left side got a warning and one penalty point 😂.

Don't sweat it. Slybison8 figured out long ago what he can and can't say about Politics if he wants to be a moderator.

If you're curious, just ask him. If he's being honest, he'll give you the straight truth.

So, what exactly did slybison8 explain to Sean Cooper65 via private message?
Sam Wright21, I honestly think you aren't even part of that clique—you’re just genuinely naive.

casualharbor3 said:Look, you insulted another Forum user. You admitted to it yourself. According to the rules, that carries a 45-point penalty. Now you’re complaining because you only got hit with one. 😂 🤣
A Forum user with about 20 posts is calling for a change in leadership, demanding we bring back the best moderator in Politics. That isn't just my take on the matter. There was an actual poll on the Forum where slybison8 won by a landslide.

Is this the same Democratic Party that defends that communist killer Perković? Is this the party that arrests veterans just because they dared to whistleblow against their precious leader Milanović? This is the group that signed the accession treaty with the European Union while basically ignoring everything they promised. They passed legislation specifically designed to protect a murderer like Perković, and now we’re facing the threat of sanctions because of it. Is this also the party whose Finance Minister decides to shut down hotels and kick tourists out onto the street right in the middle of peak tourist season? And is this the Democratic Party administration that sponsors those nationalist rallies over in Mexico, led by a Prime Minister who, until the very last minute, was busy defending his deputy, the killer Čačić?
Is that what they call the Democratic Party? The one where the president, who also happens to be the Prime Minister, thinks calling political opponents an "elementary disaster" is acceptable.
Finally, the Democratic Party is acting like a party that actually respects systemic institutions, given that Linić and Jovanovic are busy debating decisions made by the Supreme Court and the Commercial Court judge. ☕

Not all three forum users represent everyone. It seems like you leftists want to bring censorship to this forum too. In your view, only a select few should be allowed to discuss politics, while any reasoned criticism of the ruling elite would be "sanctioned."
Three Forum users basically represent the entire politics PDF. 😂🤣

Fine, I’ll answer you using your own words.

It’s just a collection of extremists here, so honestly, these results don't surprise me one bit.

You clearly can't distinguish between political rhetoric and a sermon. Cardinal Bozanić isn't a politician giving a speech; he’s conducting Mass. Is everything clear now? You don't carry on like that in a church. If you did, you'd be asked to leave. Cardinal Bozanić wouldn't send the police or federal agents to haul you down to a precinct. ☕

Your opinion of me is irrelevant since I don't agree with it. So what now? Are you planning to start another witch hunt against me, just like you do whenever a Moderator disagrees with you? For the record, there are Moderators here who have targeted me personally too. I’ve been slapped with 500-point penalties for alleged "hate speech." Did I go out of my way to start dedicated threads or incite a mob against the Moderators for that? No, I didn't.
Your reasoning is completely different. Let’s just go ahead and crush anyone who disagrees with me. That’s essentially the point of your post. I like to think this forum is actually democratic and not some official state publication where the editors get fired immediately just because Milanović loses his cool over one undesirable comment.

I already gave you my answer, and my colleague gave you a solid one as well. It’s pretty straightforward. You don't see people booing during Holy Mass anywhere in Europe. That only happens in dictatorships like North Korea. I don't know what part of that isn't clicking for you.

In my opinion, that isn't trolling.Telling the truth isn't trolling. Name one country in Europe where people actually goof around in church during a sermon or Mass. ☕
I think this thread should be locked.
The Forum user only has 20 posts.I’m asking the administration to check if this might be a clone of a previously banned user.
He doesn't offer any actual arguments; he just tries to force his own onto everyone else.
He received 1 point for a post that, according to the rules, should have earned at least 45 points for insulting other forum users.
He opened this thread just to force his opinion on us as if it’s the only correct one—which, let’s be honest, has absolutely nothing to do with the democracy he keeps preaching about.☕

Rude? Please. That's about as much as saying "it's not Sanders, it's Doctor Sanders." 🤣

Discussing laws during Mass *is* political speech. And as for not messing around in church—that's because doing so disrupts public order. The same goes for a national holiday or the 4th of July; you don't disrupt the peace then either.
I won't go any further on this topic, as it's strictly a matter of Politics.

A perfectly decent moderator.
An interesting commentator with deep knowledge, always worth a read. Quite unlike some of his colleagues over on the World and Discussion forums...

Whether I agree or disagree with his takes, I can say one thing about his moderation: chapeau!

Calling this the "PL case" is just being dramatic—it’s an exaggeration...

I think the difference is that most people posting on the World PDFs either understand or actually live in democratic, free nations—so any discussion on those topics there would be completely different. It would likely be broader, higher quality, and much calmer.

The only obvious downside is how narrow the topics get on the World PDFs, obviously, because the "profile" of the users participating there is, I believe, far above those on the main subforum or BP—just like the moderation is, thanks to PL, as you mentioned.

The best proof is when he wasn't around on World, or during that period when he wasn't moderating World; you could see what a nightmare that subforum turned into. It was honestly terrible, 😁 but thankfully only temporary.

When slybison8 isn't around, you can pretty much lock down the entire World and Discussion section without any trouble.
☕

To me, that says everything you need to know about his political insight and overall quality—which is a massive step up from most of the other moderators in Politics.

You really are something else, truly brilliant😍

It seems that whenever you present actual evidence, it somehow transforms into proof of the exact opposite. 🤣

Take this instance, for example: this response from slybison8 only serves to demonstrate that the man is looking at the situation from multiple angles and remains perfectly well-intentioned toward his ideological opponent (which, in this particular case, is Sean Cooper65).

Isn't your own single strike against him just further evidence of his benevolence? Any self-proclaimed "liberal"—those types the "conservatives" constantly moan about being persecuted, though even I find them exhausting—would have slapped you with forty-five strikes by now, yet here we are.

They aren't opponents; they actually agree on the whole health education topic. He doesn't hold any of those Štulhofer's views, but then again, even he probably thinks supporting someone like Reisman is going too far.

Look, I love an independent America. To me, the Homeland War is sacred, and I’m thrilled that we finally broke free from the old union.

It didn't seem to bother anyone when that same church was preaching about structural sin at masses all across America during the GOP mandate. You didn't speak up or criticize the church back then, did you?
I was at Mass on December 26, 1999, for Stefan, when the priest said during the morning sermon: "Caring for the American state and looking after its citizens isn't just about waving flags and cheering for oxen."
I didn't notice a single person from the Democratic Party react.
You only seem to react when someone calls you out or criticizes you. That’s democracy, I guess—classic Democratic Party style.
The primary role of the church and its priests for Americans has always been, and remains, to care for the American people. That includes criticizing those in power.
As for Milanović, a man who shows no respect for the dignity of the Homeland War hasn't earned anything else. He’s a politician; when he gives political speeches, he can expect people to disagree with him.
Josipović didn't call for the arrest of the people who booed him when he mentioned regional reconciliation. ☕

Alright, look, if he isn't perfectly 'orthodox' by your specific standards, so what? Does being a moderator mean one has to forfeit their right to an individual opinion? If that were the case, we might as well just have some automated software running the moderation duties instead. 🤷

No matter how much you vent, you haven't actually provided a single shred of evidence to suggest that slybison8 is anything less than a credible figure.

By the way, casualharbor3, take a breath and chill out—have you forgotten which discussion thread we're even in?

There was a poll on the Politics PDF where slybison8 was voted Best Moderator. Those are the facts, regardless of whatever information you've been gathering elsewhere.

You're clearly demonstrating that you haven't the slightest clue what you're actually commenting on in this thread.
This isn't about any kind of DZ Day celebration. Unless you were personally involved or actually took the time to find the answer yourself, you really shouldn't be weighing in on something you know absolutely nothing about.

Sure, they’re high quality—I mean, they haven't been vaccinated against anything, so it’s perfectly legitimate to start a thread like this just to "shake up" the current events and see what sticks.

I have no idea who was specifically put in charge of moderating the Fiscalization discussions, but things have spiraled way too far, and yet nobody who witnessed this mess is stepping up to react.

We were dealing with an egregious violation of the forum rules. There isn't really any room for special interpretations here.

And what exactly was the motivation behind all of that? One deserved penalty point for that blatant attempt at being a troll. Come on, please...

That's just not true. The man explained himself clearly several times—you should probably go back and actually read what he said. 😉.

You haven't proven anything. You're attacking the Moderator without arguments simply because you don't like his opinion on this topic. Accept the fact that democracy means having different viewpoints.
You constantly violate the forum rules by insulting other users who disagree with you. Your main argument for slybison8 is based on info you gathered from phantom forum users.😂That pattern shows up in multiple threads.

Just a quick reminder that this isn't the Politics subforum, so please don't drag those specific debates over here. This space is strictly for trading cards...
The Administrator will reach out regarding your appeal, so please just bear with us for a bit...

I see that on the adjacent thread regarding insults, people are focusing their commentary on body weight and ugly hairstyles. 😕

Is anyone actually following the thread about Fiscalization? Sorry, I’ve just been glued to that one.

This one is referring to the PL Quote:

urbanotter said:slybison8 made a valid point—one that I also pointed out—regarding how these actions mirror Nazi elements. We're seeing the application of their specific methods, much like when they "cleansed" Germany of its Jewish minority through Goebles's propaganda and those brutal Gestapo-style legal tactics.

And this guy keeps calling and calling, begging you to send him off to the cooling chamber:

branko99 The user said:With a statement like that, you’re just displaying the textbook characteristics of a typical fascist.

The feed is absolutely crawling with posts about fascists, Nazis, the SA, the SS, concentration camps, and all that other garbage.
I completely blanked on Slinić. That’s a violation of the rules, and that's a straight red card.

What on earth? 🤷

I want to apologize to the original poster if I end up straying too far from the scope they intended here. I honestly have no idea where else I would go to write this.

I honestly don't get how you all manage to twist things so ridiculously. It’s not Linić's fault or the Police's fault if their methods look something like the tactics used by totalitarian regimes; the problem lies with the people making those comparisons in the first place. By this logic, someone should be banned just for comparing anything to Nazism (which is what we're talking about here), but why? Taboos only work in tribal societies; a civilized society should definitely be allowed to take a critical look at its own reality.

What kind of sacred seal is supposedly closing off all thought and comparison here? I truly can't wrap my head around what anyone is trying to prove or what "crime" they're trying to pin on what I consider a normal, common-sense discussion.

Or maybe you just don't like the Moderator's views, so now we've suddenly regressed to the 1950s in America (oops, another comparison—hurry up and give me a ban!)

That simply isn't true, because you are actively participating in this thread rather than just lurking and watching from the sidelines.

Do you really need me to link every single one of my posts in this thread, or is what we've seen so far enough to make your manipulation obvious? It seems like you haven't missed a single opportunity to twist the facts during this discussion on Fiscalization.

And here is this guy again, constantly calling out and begging everyone to send him off to the cooling chamber.

The forum is absolutely overflowing with posts from fascists, Nazis, SA stormtroopers, and now, apparently, the SS and concentration camp commanders too. It’s becoming impossible to ignore.
I completely slipped up and forgot about Slinić. That’s definitely not allowed here, and honestly, I deserve a penalty for it.

Article 4.
On the Politics subforum, the following is strictly prohibited:
Please refrain from any form of harassment or insults directed at individuals based on their nationality, ethnicity, social status, religion, gender, race, sexual orientation, political affiliations, or any other personal characteristic.
To promote or incite any criminal acts or offenses as defined by the United States Criminal Code.
Promoting or glorifying Nazism or Fascism, spreading racist ideologies, or any belief systems rooted in racism and xenophobia—including the display of their symbols—is strictly prohibited here.
I would really suggest that we try to avoid posting massive blocks of copied text that exceed 2,000 characters at a time. I know we all have a lot of information to share, and sometimes you just want to dump everything you've found onto the board, but it can make the discussion feel a bit overwhelming for everyone else reading along. Personally, I find it much easier to follow a conversation when things are broken up into smaller, more digestible pieces rather than being hit with a giant wall of text all at once.
It’s probably worth mentioning that we should try to avoid duplicating existing threads—basically, please refrain from opening up entirely new topics if the subject matter is already being discussed in an active one.
Any other way of interfering with the normal operation of the Forum.

Since those are the official rules of the forum, I would honestly suggest that you take some time to sit down and read through them thoroughly. Once you've had a chance to digest everything, it might be helpful to point out exactly which specific guidelines the individuals you're accusing of misconduct are actually violating.
Pointing out how the government operates and highlighting when their methods start to mirror fascist tactics isn't a violation of any rules here. In fact, if we started punishing people just for having those discussions, it would be nothing less than a direct assault on freedom of speech and expression—rights that are fundamentally guaranteed by our Constitution.
Where exactly are you seeing that those individuals you're quoting were being offensive on a nationalistic, religious, or any other kind of basis?
Criticizing the government isn't an insult based on those specific grounds, nor does it constitute the promotion of fascism, Nazism, racist ideologies, or any other content that violates our community guidelines.
Actually, I feel like you’re just defending a government that is being rightfully criticized for actions that look uncomfortably similar to one of the ugliest ideologies in history.

I really think someone needs to take a long, hard look at the forum rules and what I’ve actually been recommending here. It honestly breaks my heart to see Moderator Cuki using his position this way; instead of fostering discussion, he seems to be abusing his status by threatening bans and penalties just because our political views don't align. In my opinion, if anyone should be facing disciplinary action for breaking the community guidelines and attempting to censor those who hold different perspectives, it should be him.

I want to offer my apologies to the original poster if I end up straying too far from the scope they intended for this thread. Honestly, I wasn't quite sure where else I might find a space to share these thoughts, so I hope you'll bear with me.

I honestly feel like I don't have anything left to say to anyone here, because I've made a point of following the forum rules to the letter. It’s frustrating to watch how others twist them in such twisted ways, and it’s even harder to see some people trying to abuse the authority they hold as Moderators.

Well, if you really feel like I need to be banned or penalized, then go right ahead. Honestly, my conscience is completely clear on this matter, and I truly believe everyone else should take the time to actually sit down and study the forum rules instead of just making all these baseless accusations.

Good grief, urbanotter, don't get all worked up.
I actually think you're a decent enough person, just frustrated by certain moves made by the administration.
But you're expressing it a bit "wrong." Pay attention to the quotes there.

And you completely misinterpreted my "I just follow along" comment; what I meant was that I only know about this one specific thread in Politics because I haven't even looked at the others, so I can't compare actions, Moderator. It's obvious I post there—I've shared links myself 😬.

The issue with comparisons to Nazism and such is that if I try to explain my stance briefly, it comes off as an exaggeration. Consequently, those comparisons miss the mark entirely and their only real purpose is to provoke "opponents"—basically, they're just trolling.
You get what I mean?

Maybe someone else can explain it better; I'm typing this on my phone, so I'm not sure how concise I'm being.

And obviously, this isn't about glorifying Nazism... you wouldn't be glorifying it by making comparisons against Linić, whom you're arguing against 😉

Get it?
Anyway, catch you later, I'm heading to the beach.

Who’s to say they aren't overdone? Imagine sitting in a local diner only to be violently ejected by riot police heavily armed to the teeth, through no fault of your own. This is exactly what is happening across America these days. What does that remind you of?

Given how clearly Minister Linić has demonstrated the scope of what can be done here, I wouldn't be surprised if someone like Karamarko decides to take things even further in the near future. 🤷

So, what is left for us to do now, other than vent our frustrations here on the forum, especially since the General seems to give Linić his full support?

It’s good to have a Moderator who actually recognizes the gravity of the current moment.

You guys are getting way off topic here. I asked you to please be patient while we wait for the Administrator to weigh in. Until then, I'm temporarily locking this thread...

Edward Fisher86 said:I would say that it is... An absolutely stellar Moderator. What does he really think about the enrollment process? He’s got plenty of opinions, but unlike that one person complaining, He always maintains a level of respect for other Forum users as individuals. Regardless of how much our posts might differ in content.

How exactly did you label my post—pathetic, miserable, and demagogic—that I felt the need to jump in and respond?

First off, if you want to show some respect to other Forum users, you shouldn't be using that kind of language. Instead, you should actually state exactly which part of the post you disagree with.

You’re such a fantastic moderator, it really shows. Discussions regarding Fiscalization. So, where can one actually go to read about this? Ohoho. The less fortunate ones. posts.

I wasn't exactly sure how things worked on the Politics board; I honestly thought that kind of approach was perfectly acceptable and standard for this place. Eventually, though, I just lost my patience and filed a report against one specific post. To be honest, I can't even remember exactly what I wrote in the report itself. The post has since been deleted, and I have no idea if any sanctions were actually handed out. But that was just that one single instance—everything else consists of a massive amount of other posts, many of which are similar or almost identical to it.

I’m not entirely sure which moderator stepped in, but here we go—just a few highly questionable, completely irrelevant posts surfacing in a thread where they clearly don't belong. An absolutely brilliant Moderator. slybison8 participated

Just some examples:

This administration is utilizing... Gebelso's propaganda...who actually blamed the walls for the crisis.

Here we go again, back to the same old rhetoric about Goebbels and the Jews.

My dear. The breeding grounds of bureaucratic cancer.Look, you're just one of those tax-obsessed bureaucrats—and honestly, you probably belong in that same group—constantly acting like you're superior while showing off nothing but pure arrogance.

Linić and his crew. Fascists.

Linić's With the lawyers...., You aren't as stupid as Linić and his crowd. Regarding the IRS.... Linic's Fascist. izjava:...

Linić... just pure terror from the Linić camp. From a legal standpoint....Linić's I'm still waiting for the specific details or context you want me to tackle. Just give me the prompt or the content you need me to rework, and I'll get to work on it.

SA tax genius

Linic's SA lawyers

I almost forgot about slybison8 as a forum user, at least one post:

You have established a quasi-Nazi control system
in America.

And finally, yesterday slybison8 wrote a warning post on the thread: let's try to restrain ourselves from discussing whether the Minister has children or not and how that affects his work, or this recent stuff about certain rumors suggesting illnesses and similar nonsense.

Some context for that post: it was only after this thread was opened that PL "remembered" he should rein in some forum users; meanwhile, everything he mentions—whether someone has kids, illnesses (presumably mental, since that was also being discussed on the thread)—has all been allowed to run wild, and it's all sitting right there on the thread about Fiscalization. It's just like this post, for example:

There is plenty more on the thread where PL participated quite regularly; I've linked part of it in the first post.

lp

The Moderators deleted some posts, but left others because removing them would have caused too many broken threads. Some of those posts were carded, but not all of them. I asked the Moderators to give users a heads-up when they start making comparisons, because comparing things to SA lawyers and fascists just isn't okay. As for PL-ock, I also asked him to dial it back a bit when describing what other users are writing. Furthermore, Steven King74, PL hasn't fled any country, so you got a card for trolling, just like PL did when he called a female user's post "pathetic demagoguery."

I hope you guys can keep things within reasonable boundaries during our discussions in Politics.
