Gatekeeping the truth

Look, I’m not here to pick fights or stir up unnecessary drama; I just want to know what one is supposed to do when a single moderator establishes a complete monopoly over their own forum, where every single discussion eventually boils down to nothing more than a user asking a question and that same moderator providing the only answer available.
It essentially turns the entire community into a group of people who just ask questions while the moderator acts as the sole source of information.

I honestly believe there are plenty of other contributors on this platform who provide excellent, high-quality responses, and they deserve a lot of credit for it.👍

As for my own role—what am I supposed to do? Should I just skip over questions I actually know the answer to simply because I hold a moderator position?😕

And what about the users? Are they expected to go hunt for answers somewhere else just because I'm here?😕

Of course not, but honestly, your forum feels completely dead, like everyone just bailed on it. I find it hard to believe there isn't a single soul around who doesn't know everything except you. Only two entries were scrubbed this year. I also cleared out three duplicates that lingered after some threads were merged, though I don't expect anyone to take issue with that. To be clear: I am not in the business of deleting "incorrect" answers.👍

We are dealing with a highly specialized niche here—one where most people are blissfully unaware of the details (and frankly, it’s probably for the best). I can't speak to the specific professional backgrounds of everyone contributing to this thread, but we clearly have a mix of law enforcement officers, attorneys, people who have lived through these situations firsthand, and those who simply possess the necessary expertise.👍
