Oh, so you're planning on being a total menace tomorrow, huh?
Mercedes has stepped up their game, while Lotus seems to be falling behind.
Which means we’re looking at a straight-up showdown between Red Bull and Ferrari, with plenty of extra drama thrown in for good measure. πŸ™‚

Well, we're taking this with a massive grain of salt! 😁

Wait, are you telling me both of Alonso's laps in Q3 were actually on used tires?

It’s such a shame for Massa... he’s got a solid strategy, and there are F1 cars right behind him, but none of that matters if they end up screwing him over at the one-third mark of the race with a pit stop that's either way too early or way too late.

Not the first (and only timed one) which was on used rubber from Q2, and the second was on new tires that he absolutely wrecked while braking... they aren't totally trashed, but they definitely aren't fresh anymore...

Maybe start watching the practice sessions...πŸ™„
Massa clocked the fastest time on hard tires during FP3, then went straight into race simulations. Vettel just set his pace on the hards and didn't even bother finishing that last lap on the medium.β˜•

Tomorrow is going to be way too early...

Honestly, the foundation should be solid... regardless of what people are complaining about regarding that final lap in Q3, they're wrong. It won't hurt us.
Everything is trending in the right direction.
Alonso is going to be incredibly strong in Spain and Monaco anyway; he just needs to stay consistent.

can't wait for race day
Mercedes looks way too soft to hold onto P1, and RB just eats through their tires too fast
if things go smooth at the start, anything other than a 1-2 for Ferrari would be a total disaster

Just your typical Red Bull masterclass at the start, leaving Mercedes to hit the limiter the second they hit the first DRS zone β˜•

It all comes down to the start...
Otherwise, RB wouldn't stand a chance if Alonso hadn't completely botched qualifying. There's no way they stay ahead of Vettel on track once those worn tires kick in and we factor in those 3 extra laps...
That said, RB has a solid shot if they can just hold off Ferraria at the launch...
Ideally, they'd jump Rosberg at the start and slot right in between him and Alonso... though that’s a massive ask given how insane Ferrari's start looks.😒

Though Massa could easily snatch P1 after the pit stops😳
I'm dying to see how Ferrari handles this. Will Massa just hand the position over to Alonso like a good boy?

It would be a total shocker if they aren't leading.

If Fernando ends up ahead of Seb after the first lap, you can pretty much forget about winning on those tires. Fernando will likely drive a bit more conservatively, which would just slow Seb down and reset the whole race dynamic.
Plus, Alonso gets the clean side of the grid, and considering how dusty the track environment is, that could really impact the start.
It’s entirely possible that Seb finds himself behind Massa right after the first corner, and if that happens, any hope for a win is basically gone. 😁

Like I said, it all comes down to the start... but unfortunately for me, Ferrari looks like the absolute powerhouse on this grid.😒
We'll see, though. Hope dies last.😁

Sebastian Vettel can't win unless he's sitting on poleβ€”so I don't see why you're being so optimistic--

Unfortunately, I missed the action because I was stuck at work, but the core issue here is: how on earth does someone slower manage to overtake someone faster🀷 Therefore, taking the third slot on a cleaner part of the track should theoretically provide an advantage. Given what happened during the last race, bringing up tire degradation regarding Ferrari is completely irrelevant right now. For the order to actually be interesting, things would need to go differently. If Fernando manages to pass PrstiΔ‡... well, let's just say I don't see him having any chance of finishing ahead at the start. Unless there's rain, technical failures, or a massive collision, he's stuck. Ferrari is looking incredibly strong this season. The real question remains: will Mr. Main Driver Red Bull who gives wings decide to brake too early again at Turn 1 🀷?
