Donna White85 said:I don't know—maybe you're referring to those suggestions from a literal century ago, given how carefully you're choosing your words.

Fine, let's just wipe everything clean—act like nothing ever happened and let things bloom until the next inevitable meltdown.

That’s what "moderating" looks like, apparently.

Of course you're being picky. You aren't even posting on the main boards; you just saw a mention of abortion somewhere and decided to come over here and lose it.
And now you're doing the exact same thing right here.

Outbursts are a daily occurrence and the moderation is questionable—sure—but you're still hysterical over people sharing unpopular opinions. If it were up to me, she'd be banned along with that troll.

More bickering over Latte and Ludwig. It’s honestly impressive anyone even finds the motivation to moderate 26,000 posts a day given how much chaos happens there.

Stop bothering Nica with this nonsense.

So now you're the one freaking out here...

The mods are questionable and people getting banned happens all the time, sure, but you're still acting hysterical just because someone's voicing an unpopular opinion. Honestly, if it were up to me, you'd be banned right along with that troll

Oh, so I need your permission before I chime in on a thread? Is Reddit someone's private playground? Because it definitely feels that way...

Yeah, bans happen and moderation is iffy, but you're really gonna sit there and track exactly how much and where I post?

If it were up to me, I'd have handed out at least three bans for insults by now, but I didn't get the chance. Man, what a joke, a place where you actually have to beg for a ban because the mods don't know what they're doing 🙏

Stop bothering Nica with this nonsense.

You can delete posts too, so if that’s what you call "moderating" while someone's busting their tail...

I’ll admit I messed up. I should have listened to my gut and just deleted those posts right at the start.
Too naive, I guess.

If you guys want to argue about this, and since it clearly seems people care, here are the links to the threads in the PDFs covering the whole thing:

Total rookie move on my part, honestly...

Since people are clearly still debating this and there's obviously interest, here are the links to the threads in the PDFs covering everything:

Thanks for absolutely zero actual feedback regarding the first post, other than basically saying "oops, I was naive and should've trusted my instincts."

We already went over all this in your PDF thread where it wasn't explicitly against the rules.

Why didn't you just archive the posts instead of deleting them? And why suggest putting someone on ignore instead of actually doing your job?

Why not just state that the discussion isn't for the USA and let the posts stay up?

Donna White85, look, I know this is a bit old school, but I’m just not following your logic here. You popped up in the US thread specifically to talk about abortion—a topic involving a PDF you clearly haven't even looked at—and then went straight for the jugular with the moderator.
If you haven't noticed, Thomas Hernandez4 hasn't even moderated ZK or Politics before, so why the sudden need to go totally scorched earth on her?
But, I have to admit, you’ve definitely piqued my curiosity regarding that whole subject... assuming the conversation is still going somewhere.

coppersailor28, what do you think? Is this how moderators should be handling things:

Our sincerest apologies to the esteemed Donna White85! Our moderator made an error. As a gesture of goodwill, we are offering you a -50 point credit. This means you are permitted to insult, or even outright curse out, anyone on any thread without being docked those 50 points.
Best regards.

Intellectual honesty compels me to quote my favorite radio station:

I honestly have no clue what actually went down there, but my best guess is that either the user never even wrote that post, or they haven't even been active on the site lately. I mean, I could easily see this being some calculated bit of drama cooked up just to bait new people in, or maybe it’s just someone trying to spice things up so everyone doesn't get bored and leave, or perhaps it's just someone looking to settle an old score with that particular user.

It’s pretty obvious you're a retiree.

Radio Yerevan was asked: "Is there any way Hillary Clinton could still enter the White House?"
Radio Yerevan answered: "In principle, yes. She could divorce Bill and marry Donald Trump.

amberhound8 said:I have no idea what actually happened, but my guess is that this "member" either never wrote a single thing or wasn't even active on the forum to begin with. I used to think all this drama was just staged to lure in new users—you know, just adding some spice to the boredom so people wouldn't leave—or maybe someone was just looking for revenge against that specific user.

Which "member" are we even talking about here?

I mean, look at the USA and you'll see it instantly—we've got the partisans, the hustlers, and then us losers.
That doesn't end well. 😁
