How to copy text from a PDF?

So, I’ve got these "leaked" study guides for this course we have an exam for at the end of the term, obviously. And sure, you can use any literature you want—though let's be honest, if you don't actually wrap your head around what the prompt is asking, no amount of textbooks is going to save you, much like when you're staring down a math problem you don't understand.

The thing is, I can't copy anything from the PDF at all. If I try to highlight the text, the right-click menu doesn't even give me a "copy" option, which would be incredibly useful if I wanted to paste parts of the text into my exam answers. I'm assuming they locked it down specifically to prevent anyone from copying stuff.

Does anyone know of another way to grab the text from this test? I haven't tried converting it to a Word doc or anything like that yet.

There are free versions out there. You have to hunt for them and test them—'free download' isn't always a guarantee the software is actually free.
