Weird error message in Chrome?

Can someone make sense of this? For about two weeks now, I’ve been getting this notification on my phone at least once a day. It hangs around for like half an hour whenever I try to use Google. During that time, I can't browse anything because this pop-up just keeps blocking me. I know it sounds paranoid, but am I being hacked, or is it just my phone or Google account acting up? Any idea how to kill this thing for good?
