Regular users can definitely pitch in to keep this place running smoothly too. It’s honestly pretty uncool to try and insult me while I'm actually trying to be helpful. We don't do insults here.

I really don't get people who complain about getting banned when they're basically just proving they deserved it in the first place. 🤔

buddy, go get a job.
People love whining about being silenced or censored, so if you want to call it a penalty, fine by me.

And which part of @brightsailor17 should I be following? 🤔

The "buddy, get a job, since you consider 'oppression and censorship' a penalty" part
""? Or the "
if you consider 'oppression and censorship' a penalty, then fine
"?

coppersailor28 said:So, what am I supposed to follow, @brightsailor17 now? 🤔

Follow
"'guy, get a job,' since you think 'suppression and censorship' counts as a punishment"?

Or maybe
"if you call 'suppression and censorship' a punishment, then fine"?

And, what was the poet actually trying to say?
Does the poet even know what they meant?
🤔

There’s that old quote from Plato about people who speak because they have something to say versus people who speak just because they want to be heard.

PS:
I'm guessing you've at least heard of the wise old guy Plato?

The thing we all know is that early morning is the golden hour—zero censorship.

Why’s that?

Because the slackers are still catching up on sleep.
Classic move for people who don't have a job.
They’re usually out cold until 10:00 or 10:30.
Then they roll out for coffee.
Grab a quick bite to eat.

So, by about 11:30 or noon,
the censors are working at full capacity.

Honestly, it would be great if the forum mods would just hire someone for the graveyard shift.
I wouldn't mind doing it myself, though I'd probably only work for a decent deli sandwich.

wanderingpilot1 said:And what exactly was the poet getting at?
Does the poet actually know what they meant?
🤔

🤦

I haven't the slightest clue what we're talking about. That’s how you phrased it. 'The poet had his say.'!
Hey there. Precisely. I asked him this.:
"And who exactly am I supposed to be taking cues from now? @brightsailor17/">@@brightsailor17?"

And regarding that matter, if...Only the poet knows what he really meant.I need you to get in touch with a colleague at @XmoronX.2+2=3 Personally...

wanderingpilot1 said:Plato had a saying about those who speak because they actually have something to say, versus those who just speak because they want to be heard.

Unfortunately, I have no idea what Plato actually said.
Regarding those people. They only speak when they actually have something worth saying.',
I have no idea what that even is. Is it the same Plato? Stated.
Regarding those people. They talk because they have something to say.'...

If we need to pin down exactly what Plato said regarding "the first" versus "the others" to move this conversation forward, fine. Can someone provide a direct link to the source?

I assume you've heard of that wise old philosopher, Plato.

I read your post where you mentioned him—so you don't have to just sit there hoping.

And what about albundy0009? Isn't he just a troll who repeats the same nonsense in every single post? Doesn't he write too much? Or is that perfectly fine when it's coming from a Coronavirus advocate?
Wow, you're being incredibly unbiased, truly.

swifteagle4, you're missing the mark. Paul Newman86 actually started two different threads asking the exact same thing here. One of them just got nuked...

I have zero clue what you mean by (if we're using your wording) 'a poet trying to say something'!

Exactly.....

But did you actually want to make a point?
Just so it doesn't look like you have nothing to say?

I have no idea what (to use your phrasing) 'the poet meant to say'!

Exactly.....

🤦 🤦 🤦

The fact that 'exactly so' is how I answered you should have been obvious before you even asked your question 🤷
.
Why on earth did you then even ask me what @Robin Clark was trying to say, if my answer—that I have no clue what he meant—is something you yourself are
confirming?!... ...and using the words 'exactly' to do it at that!

For instance, based on your own 'exactly so' logic, I won't even bother asking why you call him a poet—since the phrase '2+2=3' doesn't look like 'mathematics in prose to me either...

wanderingpilot1 said:...but were you trying to make a point?
Just so it doesn't look like you have nothing to say?

That should have been settled by my previous response:

"As for whether 'the poet knows what he meant,' you should contact colleague @Robin Clark personally..."

So that would be... I guess.Exactly.' How've you been? I guess. And I replied.I guess you should have figured that out before you even asked me the question. 🤷

Why on earth did you go and do that to me? He didn't even ask. I guess. What is @XmoronX?2+2=3 What I meant was, Whatever, man. I guess I'll just answer. Maybe. How? I have no clue what he was trying to say.Even you, I guess. I guess you're right. Maybe.?!...
...and they said it with the words...Exactly.'!!

For instance, from my own... 'Exactly.I guess there's a reason for that. Maybe. I'm not even going to bother asking you why you're calling him a poet. Why? Whatever. '2+2=3' Not me either, I guess. It doesn't really feel like... I guess.Math. Maybe? Maybe just prose.'...

I guess my previous answer pretty much covers that.

"And as for that whole "if a poet knows what they meant" thing... I guess maybe. You should probably get in touch with Robin Clark. Personally, I guess...."

That "poet" thing was obviously aimed at your comment, and as for him saying 2+2=3... well, I guess that's pretty freaking obvious.
To everyone who just wants to stay quiet... I guess they can go ahead. Maybe.

Of course, that won't make sense to people who believe 2+2=3, just because the authorities told them so... I guess.

This entire forum has basically become a synonym for censorship and a total disgrace to any kind of open public debate.
Two whole pages of nothing but trolling, and I still haven't received a single explanation as to why my access to the Coronavirus subforum was revoked.

No, they’re just fixating on the technicality of me opening two threads at once, without even bothering to look at the actual context
of why that happened in the first place. The forum didn't even display the first thread when I posted! Maybe it was a software glitch? Who knows—whatever.
Then, after I opened the second one, the first one finally showed up. I guess I was just too fast for the system. If I had the option, I would have just deleted that first thread myself,
but the forum doesn't allow that.

Peace out, you losers and cowards.

And you, brightsailor17! Stop riding coattails with coppersailor28.

Paul Newman86 said:Software glitch? Honestly, I haven't a clue—my bad.

This whole forum feels stuck in the early 2000s tech-wise. It’s pretty outdated.
It's a little sad when you think about the private owner making money off this place without actually putting any work back into upgrading it.

You know what? After poking around the web for a bit, I think this forum deserves a freaking medal just for protecting free speech and keeping things uncensored!
I’m being dead serious here—kudos to the effort of trying to balance everything, keeping things somewhat sane, making sure all viewpoints get heard while still filtering out the total lunatics to maintain some level of quality...
sure, sometimes you nail it and sometimes you miss, but I really respect the approach and the intent behind it.
Honestly, I think you guys don't get nearly enough credit for what you're doing. 👍

it really is quite disheartening when you consider the owner is running a private enterprise and turning a profit without bothering to reinvest a single cent into modernizing the platform.

I suppose that is precisely why he keeps coming back, isn't it? Why bother with upkeep when one can achieve maximum profit through absolute minimal investment?

2+2=3 As specified by:
People are complaining about being suppressed and censored. If you want to call that a punishment, then fine, I guess that’s one way to look at it.

Robin Clark said:I have to say, this forum feels incredibly dated. We’re basically running on technology straight out of the early 2000s.

Would a more modern forum interface actually improve the quality of my posts here? I highly doubt a new layout would make me feel any less "suppressed" or "censored." Those issues aren't really about the server architecture or the specific app being used.
