One mistake—just one—and suddenly you’re spending your entire weekend dealing with pit lane chaos, technical flags, and other nonsense. Yet, there's always a group of people convinced that someone actually flinched or lost their nerve. It's funny. 🤣🤣
In every single conversation, you can see he’s just purely relieved—he finally has some actual competition to go up against.

I’ve got a feeling Will Buxton and his crew won't be calling the shots for much longer...

They did a great job explaining why the officials are incompetent and how their decisions make zero sense...
But they failed to explain why they intentionally screwed over Vettel's race, basically punishing him twice just because of those tire issues on the grid...

Like Will says, the penalty itself is clear enough, but it’s absolutely insane that it took them 45 minutes to actually hand it over.
And why on earth was it issued right after Vettel pitted? It was effectively a double penalty since they would've served it during the pit stop anyway...

Also, it's totally ridiculous that Stroll didn't get penalized for overtaking Gasly off-track. That is a textbook example of why penalties exist...
Instead of being strictly penalizing when someone goes 6.5 mm over the white line in qualifying🤦

Interesting race.

Stroll is looking way better than Vettel again. 😬
Seb is basically single-handedly dismantling that whole "four consecutive championships" legend.

Hamilton was great. He messed up trying to hunt down Max too early, but the pace was definitely there.

Verstappen was solid, just like Leclerc and Norris.

Something else that has been completely overshadowed right now is the undeniable fact that the Williams car was actively hunting down Bottas, who had a truly disastrous drive. It was an absolute meltdown of a weekend for Valtteri, and honestly, it's plenty of food for thought for Tot and the entire crew. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a mid-season driver swap if Bottas continues to perform at this level.

Replace him with whom? Russell? If you had asked me that before the race, I would have said yes. But after George torpedoed Bottas and nearly sent Lewis packing, I'm really not sure anymore. Maybe Vandoorne? 🤣

Post-race, Toto regarding George: "If you do a good job you can be in a Mercedes, if not it’s the NASCAR Cup Series. Right now it’s the NASCAR Cup Series." 😁

They’re probably right about this...
Bottas probably wouldn't bother defending his position like that against Red Bull, McLaren, or Ferrari. But against Williams? Especially against Russell hunting him down? Yeah, he’d definitely fight for it.

I wouldn't go blaming Bottas for this one...
He fell for that rookie move. This guy completely choked and flew straight into the grass.

Honestly, who cares? It’s totally irrelevant when you look at today's absolute monsters out there pushing 8+ seconds. Just doesn't even matter anymore.

The track was littered with debris, making things messy and dangerous for the cars. If you ask me, they did what they had to do.

On what grounds?
There was a massive pile of debris right on the fastest part of the track. If everyone had just kept driving through it, they would've shredded their tires...
If any officiating decision this weekend actually made sense, it was that red flag...

Everything else was questionable, but that one definitely wasn't.

That whole mess with the debris actually has me thinking. We've seen this before where the track gets littered with junk and they just let everyone drive around behind the safety car anyway.

I'm trying to remember which race that was a few years back—wasn't it Baku when Bottas had that tire blowout? There was a massive pileup then too, and everyone was just driving through the wreckage. Alonso, Vettel, and a few others were absolutely losing it on the radio demanding a red flag, but they didn't get one.
