Where can I buy a battery?

I picked up a camera about ten years ago, but the battery finally gave up on me.
Now I’m stuck because I have no idea where to find an exact match or even something similar with the right specs and dimensions.
The original model name isn't turning up anything useful in any local shops here.

Fair enough, but what I actually want to know is where I can pick up that battery here in America, specifically in San Francisco.

Is it actually possible that these batteries aren't available anywhere in the States?
A few years back, I stumbled upon an American website that claimed to sell all kinds of batteries and chargers, but I can't seem to track that page down now.
The issue is if I just order a battery from China via eBay, it could take over 40 days to arrive—and that's assuming it even shows up.

You've got over 1,200 models listed on nabavi, so there’s a decent chance you might stumble upon exactly what you're hunting for. It’s a bit of a pain because they don't really offer any sophisticated filters to make the search process easier 👎, but if you dig through, you can see which camera shops are listed there and just reach out to them directly. Even if a specific item isn't showing as "in stock" right this second, I've found that sometimes you can still get them to special order something for you.

Honestly, it’s not even that hard to search. Just type it into the search bar and it shows all the available batteries of that type.

You can also find them on eBay from places in Europe, like France or Germany, that ship to the US.

I’ve gone through all those links, but I’m still a bit confused.
My current battery is 3.7V and 1280 mAh, but the ones being offered are 3.6V and 700 mAh.

Would these actually work for my camera?

You sure yours is actually 1280mAh? The stock one is 700 through and through.

3.6 and 3.7 are the same thing.

Your battery life would be shorter than that 1280mAh one had when it was brand new.
