Hey everyone.

Hey mods, supermods, and admins—looking for some help here. I'm trying to track down an old thread about a missing cop.

The thread was posted on Reddit a few years back, somewhere deep in the archives, I guess. It was about this young, ambitious officer who just... vanished. I was in a rush when I first saw it, so I just skimmed through, but it stuck with me. I ended up away from the site for a while, so I never bookmarked it and now I can't find it for the life of me.

From what I remember, she was allegedly looking into white-collar crime. Can't recall the year she went missing, but I think her name was Ann or maybe Andrea.

The thread wasn't huge—it didn't really take off like most discussions do here. I’d really appreciate any help, even if it's just a link to the thread or some news articles about the case. I've tried searching everywhere myself, but I'm coming up empty without some help.

Thanks in advance.

P.S. Since this section is meant for questions and info, I figured posting here gives it the best shot at being seen. Hope I'm not breaking any rules by putting it here. Thanks!

Maybe try doing a quick Google search for an article about her? There might be some extra details in there that could help us track down the specific thread. If you can't quite remember where the discussion was hosted, maybe you can recall roughly when people were actually talking about it?

Well, hey, anything can happen, right? Maybe that ambitious young officer decided to pack her bags and take a job over in Canada. Not too long ago, our FBI Director, Aleksander Hojs, actually released the salary data for officers working in Canada. If you really want to see for yourself, why not try your luck using "ctrl+f" on

There wouldn't be much to find surprising there, except for one tiny little detail; while the police are out there threatening to strike, the Secretary goes ahead and publicly posts their salaries, which range from $3,000 - $4,000 - $5,000 a month for your average beat cops.
It’s absolutely insane, isn't it?

If your officer ended up finding a steady gig here in the States, just know that she probably couldn't be any more comfortable even if she were in paradise.😁😁😁

Maybe that ambitious young officer just decided to pack her bags and head over to work in Canada—you know, looking for better opportunities across the border. I think our Attorney General recently posted a breakdown of what police officers are pulling in over in Canada. If you really want to see for yourself, maybe try using "ctrl+f" on this file:

Honestly, none of it would be that weird if it weren't for one tiny little detail; the police are literally threatening to strike, and then the top brass goes and publicly leaks their paychecks, which are sitting around $3,000 - $4,000 - $5,000 a month—and we're talking about regular beat cops here, the everyday officers.
It's just absolute madness, seriously.

If your officer did end up snagging a job here in the States, just know she’s probably living the dream.😁😁😁

Really?

Gross salaries:

8266. Spela Murgelj, Senior Officer, Ljubljana Police Department: $1,202.63
7860. Marko Klančar, Senior Investigator, Ljubljana Police Department: $1,524.78

Can't remember when it was active. But I do recall the catch was that there weren't many news reports, and whatever was out there was pretty damn hard to find on Google. The whole thing was super murky. I think someone posted an Index link in that thread, but it was just some vague statement about her disappearance. I do remember her friends were doing stuff on Facebook to look for her, though. Even her two best friends—just remembered that today—had their internet cut off shortly after those actions. They claimed the rest of their streets had perfectly fine service, but theirs just stopped working right after they went public with the story. I think one of them even claimed they were being wiretapped. Basically, just a really shady situation... feels weird it didn't get more attention.

brightviper29 said:Oh, hey, anything's possible. Maybe that ambitious young cop just moved to Canada to work as an expat officer.

Nah. At least that wasn't what the thread or the friends' efforts suggested back then. The woman just vanished. Her family and friends were looking for her, and the FBI stayed silent.

The only thing I’ve come across that even remotely touches on what you’re talking about is this one:

But honestly, that’s pretty easy to dig up on Google, so I’m not sure if that was actually what you were getting at...

Hey guys—mods, super-mods, admins—I could really use some help finding an old thread about a missing cop.

The thread was posted on Reddit a few years back, but I can't remember where exactly. It was about this young, ambitious officer who just vanished without a trace. From what I recall, she was investigating white-collar crime. I don't remember the year she went missing, but I think her name was Ann or Andrea.

The thread didn't have many posts and for some reason, it never really took off like other threads usually do. I’d really appreciate any help—even just a link to the thread or some news articles. I've tried searching everywhere myself but I'm coming up empty.

Thanks in advance.

P.S. Since this section is for questions, info, and appeals, I figured posting here would give it more eyes. Hope this doesn't break any rules. Thanks!

It might be Ana-Marija Braim. I couldn't find the actual thread on Reddit though. Just guessing based on the names you mentioned.

Nah, that one's super easy to find on Google, so I don't know if that's what you meant...

The Suzana Vugrinec case kept popping up while I was digging for info on Ana-Marija Braim.

It's wild how much info is out there about that case, while there's basically nothing on Braim.

🙏

That's it!

That's the case that caught my interest—I just couldn't remember her name to Google it properly.

Doesn't really matter now. I've got enough info and some leads to keep digging. Thanks a ton.

Thanks for the help, everyone. Found what I was looking for. Cheers to everyone here, especially Patrick Thomas29.

That's the case that caught my eye; I just needed her name so I could search for it on Google.

Not that it matters much. I've got enough info now and some sources to dig deeper. Thanks a ton.

Glad I could help.
The whole topic is pretty heavy, just like the case itself.

Best,👋
