How do I find a location on Google Maps?

We’re getting ready to head out on a road trip soon—we'll be passing through the Sedona area—and we’re hoping to drop in on an old colleague we haven't seen in about 30 years.
We spoke on the phone recently, and he gave us his address: Pope John Paul II 35, Krivodol
The thing is, as much as I'd like to believe otherwise, Google just can't seem to find that specific address at all.
I'm a bit stumped here—does anyone have any advice on how we might actually track down this location?

Look, just get yourself down to Krivodol—once you're there, find the very first person you run into and ask them for the name of an old coworker of theirs... ask where they live or where you might find them, and I am absolutely certain they'll point you in the right direction! In small towns like that, everyone knows everyone—it's practically a rule!

I’m honestly having a hard time seeing what you're talking about—I’ve been staring at the map for a bit now, and while it shows a whole web of tiny little backroads, none of them actually have names assigned to them, and I definitely don't see any sign of Pope John Paul II Street anywhere

Just grab the "Ivanka" vacation rental, and you'll see the address right there.

Like I was saying, if you just type the street name into Google Maps without adding a house number, it’ll immediately suggest that specific block where Ivanka, the school, and Matthew your are located 😬 Your friend or coworker is tucked in somewhere between them 😬

I mean, I’m a bit puzzled—why aren't any of the street names showing up on the map, and there isn't even a mention of Pope John Paul II anywhere
With the information provided, finding number 35 is basically impossible—there are just way too many houses and tiny little side roads scattered around

Honestly, I feel like Google surprises me with how disappointing they can be on a daily basis... between all the privacy digging, selling off our data, handing info over to federal agencies, and those sketchy, misleading ads, it's a lot to deal with.

On a side note, I live on one of those long residential streets that branches off into a bunch of dead ends, so you wouldn't believe the mess we deal with when Google Maps sends a massive semi-truck down our way and they realize there's absolutely no room to turn around.

The navigation just isn't quite where it needs to be yet—at least not for places like this—and I can tell you that much for certain right off the bat. 😁
