I get questions about this all the time..
I'm looking at this Dell G15 Gaming Laptop, specifically the 1V0A7EA model
I wouldn't call myself a hardcore gamer; I just play a bit whenever I have the time.
Is this a solid setup, or should I be hunting for something else if I've got $900 to spend?

thanks

You get a much punchier processor for roughly the same price, but you really need to dig into the screen quality on both models before deciding.

Thanks for the help. I'll compare them. Basically, if I pick either one, I'll be able to run new games? Not on ultra settings, obviously.

Yeah, but the one with the Intel Core is better for future-proofing intensive games since you're getting 6 cores instead of just 4.

I waited a bit to pull the trigger because I was looking for a good deal.
Now I’ve got a few candidates lined up. Any advice?

Feel free to suggest other options in this price range too. Thanks!

Look, they’re different in basically every way, so a direct comparison is a headache. If you're just looking to game, I'd say the one with the 1650Ti and the 120Hz screen is your best bet.
But don't sleep on the display specs—check the refresh rate, the panel type, and the brightness (nits)—plus the SSD capacity and the GPU.
