Laptop recommendations?

Hey everyone,
A friend of mine is looking for a laptop for her kid (5th grade) to handle schoolwork, online classes, and some multimedia stuff...
The absolute max budget is $1000. Doesn't need Windows pre-installed since I'll just set it up myself, which should help them get a slightly better machine for the money...

Every single one of these has a 512GB SSD and 8GB of RAM. You can actually get those specs in this price range now, so there's zero point in settling for anything less.

A slightly better processor (quad core) and graphics that actually beat Intel. You could even run some light games on this way smoother than on an Intel build.

Not sure how this differs from the first one. The upside is it's at Lincoln, so you can just swipe a credit card or do monthly installments if you want.

So, I'm looking for something for myself. Budget is $1333. Mostly for multimedia stuff plus some older games (cod2, GTA San Andreas...)
