Budget PC build for AutoCAD (under $750)

Hi,
A friend of mine is looking at getting his son a PC for under $1667 to run AutoCAD.
He’d ideally like 16GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD.
He sent me this build, but even a novice could tell it's a mistake to buy a pre-built like this...

Nice build. It's solid. I'd maybe swap in a slightly beefier power supply, but this setup will run just fine as is.

I totally agree. I initially went in trying to cut every possible corner, but honestly, it wasn't even necessary in the end. Looking at the power supply selection over at Micro Center right now, I don't see anything particularly worth the money in terms of price-to-performance in the $167 range.
