Hey,
The spread of political propaganda on this PDF happened exactly how I called it.
Using the topic of the US during the pandemic as a weapon to attack the current administration and President Trump is blatant political maneuvering.
Whenever actual facts and answers are presented, it just leads to retaliation and partial bans.
It’s nothing new on this forum; this tactic has been used forever.
But it’s pathetic coming from the people running this place.
It’s a disgrace to exploit a pandemic for political agendas and censor any dissenting views.
I was only offering a different perspective; I wasn't attacking anyone personally.
Meanwhile, lying to shut down common sense happens constantly here.
Facts are the enemy of propaganda, and that's why I got kicked off.
It's a shame to see so much hatred driving things.

I’m suggesting to the moderators that any discussion regarding corona that isn't in its designated threads should be deleted and sanctioned. This has become unbearable since you can't write a single word about anything else without being interrupted.

Look, if there's a "USA" thread and a "Trump" thread on the "World" board, those aren't places for corona talk—especially since the corona board even has its own dedicated thread about the USA. So, my suggestion is simple: delete any posts from those two boards and move them over to the corona board.
It's the same deal with the corona topic itself; just like the virus, it’s clearly spreading across the entire forum. On the Politics board, we have threads like "coronavirus and civil rights" and "do you agree with government measures to contain the virus...". Why aren't those located on the corona board? They were opened on March 24th and March 26th.
Furthermore, it would make sense to move the general corona megathread from Politics over to the corona board so it can be the main topic there.
Anyway, I think things need some cleaning up. Corona might be the biggest story in the world right now, but everywhere I turn, I can't say a damn thing about anything else because everything is being spammed with corona talk.

I couldn't agree more with the opening post. Just yesterday, I actually put together a little reflection on this very topic regarding the constant, orchestrated attacks leveled against the USA and President Trump. It feels like people conveniently forget everything the USA has contributed to humanity, and specifically to those of us living in this part of the world. It’s as if we just ignore how the USA has always stood on the right side of history, whether it was during WWI, WWII, the Cold War, or the conflicts in the former Yugoslavia...

I have to wonder, how would you even be typing your posts right now, or how would this forum even be moderated, if the USA hadn't won the Cold War or stepped in during the wars in the former Yugoslavia? Maybe the moderators here would be running things from some smoky dive bar, nursing shots of whiskey while listening to loud, trashy pop music in the background.***

We could probably use a bit more respect for President Trump; sure, his style might be a little unconventional,
and yeah, he can be impulsive at times, but you have to remember he is surrounded by the absolute best advisors and experts available in the entire world. At the end of the day, he remains the most influential and important person on the planet.

I even had a post removed from the Corona Greatest Hits thread, and all I did was share a link and a photo of that old 1980s Nuclear Shelter music video. I suppose it got flagged because Nuclear Shelter filmed in the USA too. It seems the moderators operate on the logic that everyone's friends are their friends and everyone's enemies are their enemies—so the moment you show support for something, suddenly you're under suspicion.

***Just take that sentence as a joke, don't take it literally.

I find it equally baffling that in a discussion regarding the USA, some people feel entitled to spit on the most influential and significant figure, Mr. Trump. He stands as the leader of the most righteous nation on earth—a selfless philanthropist who lives solely for the prosperity of Americans and indeed all people across the world.
Is this what they mean by freedom and democracy, that one can nitpick even such giants? Is this how we show gratitude to our greatest benefactor?

Which actually reminds me... We urgently need a new smiley. A specific one. One where someone is kneeling humbly, licking the muddy boots of their master, with slobber and muck everywhere—on the boots, on the face, all over the floor...

It’s truly sad to see so much hatred being fueled.

If posts are going to be punished for "political propaganda" just because they say negative things about Trump, then shouldn't those writing positive things about him be punished for the exact same reason?

Hey there, bluecyclist64, I have to say, I’ve always genuinely enjoyed our chats and found you to be such a pleasant person to debate with, 👍 though it's a real shame you don't post much in the food forums anymore, which is a section I still find myself visiting quite often. My parents used to recount stories from back in 1968, describing how the USSR surged into Czechoslovakia with half a million soldiers and 8,000 tanks, leaving innocent people in their wake. It’s almost impossible to wrap your head around the level of terror that gripped the old Yugoslavia back then, and honestly, looking at it through a modern lens, it's hard to truly grasp. My folks actually had plans to just abandon everything they owned, hop in the car, and drive toward the Italian border to see where life took them. I remember a family friend telling us about his time serving in the military stationed out in Texas; they were sent to the front lines, dug into trenches, and told to wait for the Russians with strict orders that there would be no retreating—it was fight to the death. Can you even imagine a fear like that?

Since my work keeps me traveling all over the former territories, I find it pretty striking that even highly educated, rational people from Mexico argue that the NATO bombing of Mexico was completely justified, so why should I bother writing anything positive about Americans?
Why am I bringing this up? I'm certainly not suggesting that America is perfect, righteous, or always playing fair, but when you look at the alternatives, it remains the best option available, wouldn't you agree? Just imagine what the world would look like if:
-Nazi Germany had won WWII
-The USSR had won the Cold War
-A massive Greater Mexico had been established
-Islamists had spread across Europe

...and then we have people popping up out of nowhere, spitting on America and Trump... it's just something, isn't it?

I don't think Trump is responsible for any of the things you're listing here.

God forbid anyone thinks America is just Trump.

This isn't a space for political bickering.
What we’re seeing here is blatant political censorship on the corona subforum.
In the threads about corona in the USA, you see endless political posts attacking Trump that stay up without being flagged or removed.
But the second someone hits back at that propaganda with actual facts, those comments get wiped from the PDF via partial bans—which is exactly what happened to me, unfairly.
I wasn't insulting anyone, trolling, or doing anything of the sort.
They let some people slide while silencing others.
It's pathetic to see regressive political factions weaponizing even this small bit of digital power to stifle free speech.
It's an embarrassment to the individuals involved and to this forum as a whole.

Dammit, Trump stopped this with a killer move, just like I did😳
Trump isn't America! Trump is a man of very modest means, and the mere fact that someone like him can become president of anything shows just how broken the systems in most countries are today.

No insults, no trolling nothing like that.
They let some people get away with it, but not others.

Poor guy. So you're claiming they were targeting you heavily.

But how is it that you still have the most posts on this specific thread?! I guess you're not a troll after all.

No, I didn't, unlike you—you've been trolling this thread just as much as that other one where the mods had to step in.

Man, just imagine being such a loser in life that you actually feel the need to jump on some random internet forum to defend Donald Trump's every move... 🤣 🤣 🤣

Cut the nonsense. This forum exists for exchanging ideas, perspectives, and actual discussion.
If you start censoring individual opinions, you’ve got a problem.
But I see censorship is your favorite pastime. Let’s not forget how things went down during the corona era on those political PDFs, where anyone daring to suggest it wasn't just a common flu got banned immediately. It was pathetic.
The way this moderator is acting is a clear sign they aren't capable of being an objective moderator here.
Why didn't you just frame it like this: "Imagine being such a loser that you feel the need to trash the president of a country you don't even live in on some random internet forum."
But of course, that wouldn't occur to you. Must be a pretty great life when you have that kind of urge on a message board.
And when, as a moderator, you feel the need to censor opinions and facts regarding a foreign leader, that's clearly the pinnacle of human existence.
Logic was never the strong suit of regressive mindsets, which is why free speech is such a massive issue and censorship remains their go-to tool.

So you actually live in America. My bad then. 😉
