So, for the first time in my entire life—both personally and professionally—I’ve actually had to call in sick, and I'm out from Monday through tomorrow.
It all started Sunday night when my tooth nerve decided to flare up, causing this relentless, agonizing pain that just wouldn't quit, despite the fact that I downed several Advil tablets immediately after rushing to the CVS the second they opened at 7 AM. I eventually got a hold of my dentist, who prescribed some antibiotics and squeezed me in for next Monday, so I headed back to the pharmacy for the meds and some Aleve; about twenty-four hours later, the pain finally subsided, only for me to be hit with a fever and some pretty nasty facial swelling.
Dan Berglund's Tonbruket - decent life 🙂

So, here’s my doctor's note for the sick leave.
All things considered, given how this whole mess started, I’m basically just sitting here waiting for some armed lunatic to storm my office and turn everything upside down—preferably on my birthday, just to keep things interesting. ☕ 😁

Jamie Davis9, how’s that tooth holding up? Just pull it at 3 PM and get a new one. 😬 🙂

Almost every one of Joni Mitchell’s first ten albums was actually more experimental and daring than the one before it—and honestly, The Hissing of Summer Lawns stands out as one of her absolute best.

Ugh! 🙂 😁 Not even close ))
It’s such a shame this didn't make the Album of the Week, but it made me think of our NP buddy Julius; I remember one day when I was stuck at the office and happened to glance at the forum and the NP, he wrote: "Jamie, turn on the radio quick, I requested something on the call-in show!" So, naturally, I told the kids, "Listen up, you all need to be extremely quiet right now because we're going to listen to the radio for a little bit."
lucky.

I’d probably drop a massive chunk of cash just to catch a show right about now. 😁

I’m feeling pretty under the weather and my thoughts are all over the place, but I'm trying to get this intro written even though I'm late to the party...
Just wanted to say I absolutely love this guy (listening to him talk, sing, and mumble):
tiny desk home concert
😍
Jamie Davis9, I feel for you with that tooth situation—hope you're doing better now!
And yeah, I guess it sucks that Radiohead didn't go as hard on their albums...

Wow, killer shot. I actually really need one like this right now,
to submit for the NYC Art Expo, but I don't think I'll have time to get any film developed...
And she’s fantastic. 😍
It's pretty extreme, I guess, but I dig it (for certain moods). Thanks!
But honestly, in this case, I still prefer the Queen of Soul, Miss Nina.

I happened to leave YouTube running in the background, and just now, from the kitchen, I heard this track come on. It truly is an exceptional live performance. I find myself taking careful note of it, and I would certainly recommend it to anyone listening. In fact, one might even argue that those Manzar piano flourishes carry more weight than Morrison’s vocals.
