Now Playing

Spent all of yesterday stuck at yet another tedious family lunch, so today it’s just me, some peace and quiet, and maybe a glass of Jack Daniel's to make it through 🙄

... ! 😁 🙂

Wednesday

It was pretty wild seeing 2,500 people show up to practice today. Honestly, it’ll be even better when those same fans start digging graves at Arrowhead Stadium if this team chokes. Emotions are a hell of a drug. 😁

It’s certainly not an exaggeration, though I suppose saying it isn't quite enough either!

Everything passes, nothing ever stays still
Every high, every low
Life hands everyone their own share
We might all wish we were someone else
But deep down, we can all agree on one thing
There’s nothing better than the Kansas City Chiefs

I suppose I’m just sitting here, staring at nothing in particular, wondering why I even bother to check in. ))

Honestly, such an incredible performance—probably because they didn't overplay something already untouchable. Lynne totally missed the mark with those AOR vocals, but Tom Petty really nailed that raw, gut-wrenching desperation you hear in Harrison's original, and obviously, Prince absolutely killed it on the solo.

Check out this acoustic demo for the masterpiece—easily one of the best demos I've ever heard. That final verse is pure genius, though it's crazy they left it off the studio version:

I look from the wings at the play you are staging
While My Guitar Gently Weeps
As I’m sitting here, doing nothing but aging
Still my guitar gently weeps

While My Guitar Gently Weeps

Rest in peace, Klaus.

Just setting the tempo for the rollout

It’s May Day today, which also happens to be my cousin's birthday—the very same relative from whom I inherited this unfortunate penchant for hedonism and those occasional bouts of dark melancholy. 😁
I suppose I should say something, though I’m rarely in the mood to engage with this level of nonsense. It’s been quite a while since we last spoke.

Lynn completely botched it with those cheesy AOR vocals, but Petty managed to capture that unbearable sense of despair found in Harrison's legendary delivery, and Prince absolutely killed it on the solo, as expected.

Check out this incredible acoustic demo for this masterpiece; honestly, it might be the best demo I've ever heard, especially with that brilliant final verse they somehow left off the studio version:
