Hey, I'm looking to pick up a desktop setup and a monitor for around $750... My last rig was built over at Micro Center, and since it seems like everyone still heads there first, they're my top choice right now.

I’ll mostly be using the PC for gaming—everything from the heavy hitters to the lighter stuff.

Thanks in advance, everyone!

Intel Core i5 9400F NVIDIA GTX 1660
Gigabyte B450M DS3H
G.Skill Aegis DDR4 16GB (2x8GB), DDR4 2666, CL19
GIGABYTE SSD 480GB, SATA III, 3D NAND TLC
SilentiumPC Vero L2 500W, 80+ Bronze
Zalman Z1 NEO mid tower
ASUS ROG Strix GTX 1660

Total: $1763 (with a 2% forum discount $1728)

It’s a bit pricey, but I don't think it makes sense to cut corners anywhere. If you try to swap to an SSD+HDD combo, it'll just end up costing another $20 more anyway.
Maybe switch the case if you want to save some cash$33 if this is over budget.

EDIT: Didn't realize you needed a monitor too🤦

Future

advice - throw in at least a 256GB SSD for macOS and your basic apps. trust me, the difference is night and day.

Maybe you could save a few bucks on the case$33 if this feels like too much.

And where's the (seal of approval) monitor? 😁
