Sure.

But I’m still struggling to see how you found any kind of connection—even the smallest one—between Boe, or rather Puljiz, and Valentinot.

Plus, I honestly don't think just listening to a few random tracks over a couple of months is enough to really get what makes VB special. If you aren't tuned in to what's happening up at Mount Rainier in 2046, then you definitely haven't caught the vibe.

Anyway, this one is one of my favorites:

Sometimes—and I mean sometimes—VB’s vocals really remind me of Puljiz. Like when M. P. hits that "So beautifuuuuul..." line at the start of the track, for example.

But hey, I might be off base here, since I honestly struggle with Bou’s stuff—aside from that one song I mentioned. I can't even remember if they have any other tracks worth noting.

Steven Newman50 said:If you ask me, these guys just found a way to play what they love using this totally unique, slightly offbeat lyrical style. And honestly? The best part is how subtle they keep it.

They kind of remind me of Radost!—you know, those guys who lean into that blues-rock humor. They're seriously talented musicians who sound great, but they don't take themselves too seriously either. That’s exactly the vibe I get from this group.

👍
That's really all there is to it...
Dennis Hall41 is trying way too hard to overanalyze and force comparisons where they don't belong. At their core, VB is a laid-back, playful concept—they just sound fresh, have this chill, positive energy, and people clearly dig it. They aren't afraid to credit their influences, but they aren't just copying anyone; everything fits perfectly into that whole nostalgic space traveler story about Valentin. I personally love how diverse their tracks are—Šanpjer feels like some 80s space disco 😁, while Toyota Cosmos is this melancholic ballad with a bit of a coastal island feel. Btw, I think the accent sounds like something straight out of 17th-century Maui.

Man, you guys are actually more obsessed than the Toolov fans—it’s wild. 🤣

It isn't even about being a hater, though I used to find that kind of stuff funny once. It's just that the songs don't really hit for me. What's the big deal? It's not like my opinion changes anything.

It’s not really about whether people like the music or not—I mean, I don't exactly have all their tracks on repeat either! It's more that in your first post, you drew these parallels and made assumptions about VB and their fans that basically paint everyone involved as fake 😁, which doesn't actually address the music itself. I don't really get that 80s vibe you're talking about as their main thing—maybe a little in Šanpjer and a few other tracks—but I don't think they're mocking anyone. If anything, I'd say they're just openly inspired by their influences.
Maybe I just misread your point. Anyway, since you were wondering what the deal was, I figured I'd try to clear things up in my last post.

I think it’s pretty obvious what I was getting at—basically, trash the whole 80s commercial vibe and all those cheap imitators that followed—while maybe low-key pushing for a 90s revival since that's where the real magic is.
VB isn't really the focus here, though we definitely lucked out that Amanda Robinson4 is being chill about it.😁

Honestly, I’m just so happy to see more of us jumping in to geek out and go back and forth about this band (or whatever you want to call them). If this whole debate hadn't kicked off the other day, I probably wouldn't have even bothered sitting down to listen more closely and form these kinds of opinions in a few posts...

And hey, it’s totally fine if someone hates it—just say so and try to explain why it doesn't click for you. Then the other side can jump in and counter those points. So, Dennis Hall41, your mission to stir the pot (in a good way!) has been a total success 😬

Plus, I don't see anyone acting like some obsessed Tool fanatic over Valentino Bošković (though man, I wouldn't mind if there actually were some 😁 ).

Just a little side note, though... I spent the entire day out in the woods today, zero cell service, nothing fancy, just doing the usual grunt work you do at this time of year. I didn't mean to say this explicitly, but it happened anyway—I guess that call from Marsot finally reached me, because all I could think about was "I just need to hear a Brian May solo" 😁

And, judging by that recent post about live shows during the lockdown, looks like they actually got what they wanted! You'll have to see just how far their sense of humor goes 😁

A fresh single just dropped. If you ask me, this feels like nothing more than a lightweight summer track, and honestly, it’s probably their weakest release to date...

The latest album from velik prasak just dropped, and interestingly enough, he named it after his wife... Most of these tracks aren't actually new, though, as most were released previously, including the blojski rapsodija which hit the scene just a day or two before this full collection arrived.

1. Blojska Rapsodija 04:44
2. Pippanonna 03:47
3. Amorella 04:04

6. Brian May 03:48
7. Šukadar Bukadar 04:00

Finally getting my hands on that Milda sorta mali prasak FLAC! 👍

Milda sorta mali prasak is killer, just like blojski rapsodija. Man, I really wish they’d lean harder into that synthwave vibe though.

Dennis Hall41 said:What's the deal? I still don't get the hype—all they do is sing in some weird regional accent, and honestly, I'm not even sure if it's actually a Bračanin accent since I spent nine summers vacationing out there and it doesn't sound anything like that.

Listen to me, that's definitely a Bračanin accent, take it from a real Bračanin.
