Help! Meta ads are stalking me across every single app.

I've got an Apple S9. For the last few days, Meta has been literally HARASSING ME with ads. How is this even happening?
Basically, these ads are just popping up full-screen out of nowhere—and it’s not just inside the Meta app. It’s happening in Viber, Messenger, Instagram, Candy Crush, you name it. The absolute worst part is that it’s started happening while I’m sleeping; my phone is on silent, then suddenly a full-screen ad jumps out at me and music starts blasting...

How do I make this stop?
There are some options in the corner of the ads, but they don't really help much; they just keep redirecting me back to the Meta Ad Center (Ad Choices).

I have a feeling you might have picked up some malware on your S9—it happens to the best of us. You should probably try resetting the phone to its factory settings? Or, if you want to try something else first, go into your settings, head over to device maintenance, tap on device security, and run a full scan...

I'm going to give that a shot, but every single ad has this little "AdChoices" icon in the corner that just opens up something from Meta...

P.S. It keeps telling me everything is secure even after I run the scan...

I just went ahead and turned off all those Meta notifications in my apps... hopefully that does the trick! 😢

Just grab an adblocker for your browser—it's a total lifesaver—and you can also just head right into your macOS notification settings to shut them off entirely.

I reset my MOBA settings back to my custom defaults and blocked Meta from sending me notifications in my app settings, and honestly, I haven't seen a single ad in two days now!
