The moment Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton find themselves lagging behind by two seconds per lap, suddenly everyone starts praying to the heavens for some Christmas rain just to give Louie a fighting chance. 🤦
Sebastian Vettel is locked in a fight for the championship, while Ferrari is simultaneously battling for the constructors' title. It would be a perfect win-win scenario if Kimi Räikkönen could simply play the role of the tactical shield, protecting Sebastian from the onslaught of Mercedes-Benz and effectively narrowing the gap held by Lewis Hamilton. Why should there be any reason to see Kimi sacrificing points unnecessarily? 🎉
I can only hope they don't stage another one of those absolute circuses like we saw at the Grand Prix of Austria, where Ferrari completely botched their strategy and failed to notify Kimi that he needed to let Sebastian Vettel through.
Until Mercedes and Toto Wolff finally figure out how to crack the code used by Ferrari, Sebastian Vettel and his crew have no choice but to focus on maximizing their own points gap.
