Hey everyone,
So, I had surgery to remove my uvula about four months ago, and I’ve been dealing with this absolutely brutal side effect. I can’t stop throwing up. Basically, that specific spot in my throat is so hyper-sensitive now that if anything—literally anything—irritates it, my stomach just flips. It’s ridiculous. I’ll be out walking down the street and suddenly I’m projectile vomiting. Just like that.
It actually made my follow-up appointment a total nightmare. When I went in to have the stitches removed, the doctor couldn't even get close. As soon as he brought the surgical scissors near my mouth, it was game over—I spent the next 15 minutes straight just retching uncontrollably. In the end, he just gave up and left them in, telling me they'd eventually just fall out on their own... 🤷
Has anyone else dealt with this whole uvula mess and this insane level of sensitivity?
