S. Nowlin. It is the sequel to Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015) and the third and Final installment in the Maze Runner film series.

Release window: late January / early February

Surprised there aren't any threads open for this yet. Did people even watch the first two?

Yeah, I really hope this is finally the end. Honestly, the whole thing feels just as messy as the Divergent series—you know, Allegiant and all that nonsense. The first movie was decent enough, I still remember it, but the second one felt like they were just wandering aimlessly through some random building at the end. It’s been three years since the last installment, so let’s be real: most of us have already forgotten half the plot from the first two anyway.

Man, I’m seriously stoked for this... both movies were solid. Honestly, I even stopped reading the books because the films were just that good...

I've seen both, and honestly, I can't say the second one was any worse than the first. Maybe by a hair🤔, but that might just be because I saw the first one in a theater.
I'm just hoping the third isn't a massive step down. That trailer didn't exactly grab me, though.😁

I’m definitely catching this one in theaters. For me, the best sagas are always the ones with a male lead. 😬

Honestly, it was pretty shallow and just plain bad—definitely the weakest of the three. There were so many "wait, why would they do that?" moments that just left me scratching my head. And don't even get me started on the runtime; it felt unnecessarily dragged out toward the end. It actually got to the point where people in the theater started chatting like they were on some bored internet forum, which is saying something because that’s usually the one thing that drives me crazy! 😁

Personally, I thought it was great. Sure, there were those predictable moments where the main characters seem completely cornered—like they’ve run out of options entirely—only for reinforcements to suddenly swoop in at the very last second to save the day. It’s a bit of a trope, I'll admit, but overall? I enjoyed it. And honestly, one of the smartest things about this production is the budget. It only cost around $62 million, which is impressive when you consider it's likely going to pull in at least $400 million at the box office. Compare that to something like Justice League, which burned through a staggering $300 million and still felt bloated. Despite the relatively modest price tag, the film looks absolutely fantastic visually—it punches way above its weight class.

I still think the first one is the best

Finally watched it. It was alright. I’d say all three films hold up reasonably well, which is honestly a win considering how often sequels fall flat...

I didn't even finish the first one, and I'm mostly just watching the second part to kill a few hours of boredom. If the third one stays in this same vein, I might actually consider checking it out.

Man, if the first two were a blast, this last one was just a total disaster. Just constant action where the leads land three shots and somehow hit four people, while soldiers with high-tech scopes and rifles can't even graze them... felt like watching Commandos. Honestly, there wasn't a single good thing about this movie.

Weakest one yet. Way too dragged out.👎

It has been quite a while since I have sat through a movie this bad.
Honestly, I just feel sorry for myself for having wasted two hours of my life.
I thought the first one was decent, the second was just okay, but this third one? It was an absolute disaster.

Same here. I wasn't expecting much anyway.

It feels shallow, like they just threw it together to check a box.
And it’s just one cliché after another.

I watched it last night, and honestly, all I can say is that the movie was just terrible.

I actually liked the first one, but the second part was significantly worse, and the third feels like it has absolutely nothing to do with the first two.

That trilogy is absolutely brutal. It’s pure, mindless adrenaline—just non-stop action where time flies by in a heartbeat. Plus, the characters are actually pretty likable.👍
