Is this even a real gaming rig?

So, I just picked up a new laptop. Now the big question is: can I actually run some newer games on this thing?
I'm thinking things like FIFA 18, Call of Duty, and—of course—GTA 5,
even if I have to crank the settings down to low.

Here’s the breakdown of what I'm working with:

12 GB of RAM

What’s the verdict? Is this actually a decent gaming rig, or am I dreaming?
And seriously, will it handle modern titles?

Is it actually worth sinking money into upgrading this thing with new parts, and more importantly, is it even doable?
