Transaction failed: Prepaid cards not accepted

Hey there!
I want to use the Google Translate API, but first I have to authorize them to charge me $300 if I hit certain limits. What's the point?
I hit Submit after entering my card info and just get an error:
Transaction failed. Apparently, they won't let you use prepaid cards anymore? Seriously?

Why am I seeing this? What does it actually mean?

What kind of card are you running? Is it a prepaid one? Because it says right here that prepaid cards aren't accepted...

The issue is I don't actually get the difference between prepaid cards and everything else 🤣
I'm currently using a PayPal's Mastercard.

That's just a prepaid card.
You’re gonna need a debit or credit card—though you might want to double-check if they even take debit, because some places are pretty picky about requiring credit. They usually push for credit because it basically proves you aren't broke... banks don't just hand those out to anyone; you actually have to meet certain criteria, like having a steady job and stuff.
