Thompson really needs to nail that 100m tonight—she looks way too rushed when she's actually mid-race.

The USA will probably end up with just one runner making it into the finals..

Kolak didn't hit the qualifying standard, but she should still cruise into the finals without any issues...

What are the names of our commentators over at ESPN? They're actually pretty good.

Who’s actually keeping track of this? Does Žunić even have a shot at a medal?

It's a little distracting when he struggles with his R's, but honestly, they are much better than what you get on CNN.

The competition is just... it's brutal. Honestly, if he pulls off a medal, I guess we’d all be pretty shocked.

🤣🤣
I didn't quite catch the joke at first, but man, now that I get it, it's absolutely hilarious. 🤣

I suspect it really just comes down to the fact that once these athletes hit the track for an actual competition, they’re all locked into those standardized uniforms, whereas during training sessions, you have much more freedom to just wear whatever you feel like. 😉

Man, I ask myself this exact same thing every single time a major track and field championship rolls around, and honestly, it’s always a massive letdown. The answer is almost always a big fat no. 😢

not really, though... you can always dig up a stream somewhere, it's just that the commentary might be a little "exotic" for your taste

Does anyone remember if they usually go with 3 or 6 series in the finals?

I honestly can't believe my eyes.
So, this woman is supposed to jump, realizes she’s totally stuck, and then just grabs this massive rope and clears it anyway. Like, absolutely insane, and nobody even blinked...

The top 8 players move on after 3 rounds, then they play another 3.

I mean, this woman is supposed to jump, realizes she clearly can't make it, and then—out of nowhere—just grabs some massive rope and leaps right over. Like it's nothing. No one even blinks...

🤣

It's all so incredibly bad that it's almost 🤣
good.

It was like—get this—this woman realizes she can't make the jump, so she just grabs this massive rope and somehow hauls herself over. It's totally wild, and nobody even blinked...

An American girl?

Yeah, right. It’s probably just because the local refs decided to look the other way.

Saw something absolutely ridiculous today. The guy in charge of gear didn't even bother clearing the small soccer balls off the track, so these runners basically had to hurdle over them. Total disaster.

The problem is it’s always NBC when our athletes make it to the finals—just like today with the shot put. I can never seem to track down any decent streams for the individual events outside of the big networks.

Does anyone have a link for today's pole vault? I know we're already getting close to the end of the broadcast, though...
