The Bodyguard (2017)

Jackson totally hit his quota for saying "motherfucker" like ten years ago, so it’s honestly pretty much irrelevant at this point, I guess

I just finished watching it... honestly, it’s a fun enough ride regardless of how predictable the plot is. The only thing that really feels out of place with the rest of the script is Salma Hayek 😍

Man, it died on me after barely thirty minutes. I was actually going for much longer than that.

Has anyone actually sat down and watched the sequel to The Bodyguard in theaters yet? It's playing at the local multiplexes right now.

I watched it today, so I figured I’d jot down my impressions here.👍

I caught The Bodyguard when it first hit theaters, and honestly, it was a complete letdown. A five out of ten at best.

A pleasant little deconstruction👍

It’s a shame about that CGI blood work, though.

The humor was definitely the highlight for me; you can tell O'Connor didn't handle the script alone.

Just finished the second one.
It’s actually better than the first.
I guess when you watch a movie knowing it's a total joke—and the people who made it clearly know it too—you can just turn your brain off and actually have a good time.
The ending was pretty predictable, but I was still cracking up at how Reynolds and Jackson reacted. 🤣
And Reynolds' dad? Total jerk. 🤣
