I honestly have no idea how many complaints like this have been filed already, but it feels like absolutely nothing ever gets done about them. It seems like Meadow just hands out bans whenever they feel like it, almost as if there aren't even any actual forum rules to follow, just whatever mood they're in at the moment. I really feel like the whole PDF community has gone downhill; now it’s just left with a handful of militant atheists and militant theists, and honestly, it was the aggressive atheists who turned it into this. I totally get that since this is a private forum, the owner can basically do whatever they want, but I really think there should be some distinction between a private space and one meant for public discourse, especially since people use this forum publicly. If you want total control over what everyone thinks, maybe you should just start a private network that other users can't even access.

But not like this—where you've essentially found a public platform just to try and shape public opinion.

Jeremy James3 said:I'm not sure how many complaints like this have surfaced, but nothing ever changes. Meadow hands out warnings whenever they feel like it, ignoring the forum rules entirely. The whole religious debate has become a mess; now there are just a few militant atheists and militants on the other side, mostly because the atheists pushed them there. I realize this is a private forum and you can run it however you want as the owner, but please distinguish between private control and public influence. If you want total control over everyone's opinion, start your own private network where people don't have access...

Instead of acting like a private service while trying to shape public opinion.

Please provide links. I need to see evidence that Meadow is handing out warnings arbitrarily or that the religion discussion is ruined. Otherwise, I'll have to lock this thread because we don't handle these types of grievances here. Just go read the rules for the religion section.

Regarding your opening sentence—complaints against Meadow are extremely rare. If you started this thread because you recently received a warning from her (your first one, if I'm not mistaken), please move this to the thread specifically designated for appeals...

On the Religion board, you really only see two kinds of people: militant atheists and militant theists. I honestly think it’s because of how things are moderated—it feels like they're way too heavy-handed with one group while being far too lax with the other. If you just check out the reasons for atheism thread or browse around the sub-forum, you'll see exactly what I mean; the whole section just feels incredibly dry and lifeless, though I'm not quite sure how else to put it...
I actually got banned from the board just because I don't subscribe to atheism and was blunt about thinking it was nonsense. I wasn't insulting anyone personally or targeting specific users, but apparently, that counts as trolling to them. That's why I mentioned that Meadow seems to be handing out bans based on whatever mood they're in rather than following actual forum rules. Since when does calling an idea stupid count as trolling? On other boards, people get away with much bigger things without getting banned, or at least not getting hit with the same harshness I did from Meadow. It makes me wonder, if half the community avoids the Religion board, is it because it's such a great place to hang out?! Or is it because the atmosphere has been totally ruined?!

In this particular thread, am I missing any other Meadow cards that you might have?

Everything points toward the existence of God and the afterlife; only those who are foolish, deaf, or blind fail to see it.

Yeah, that’s the post I was talking about. I don't know, it's not even like I was trying to be insulting or calling anyone stupid—at least, that wasn't really how I intended to frame it. It was more just an observation about someone's general vibe, you know, like they're just "beyond help." I definitely didn't mean anything by it personally.

Alright, let's call it a day on this one. Feel free to reach out if you ever have a legitimate grievance backed up by actual links to the posts...

P.S. Meadow is female.
