Quick question about RAM compatibility

Hey everyone

Finally decided to bump up my RAM after ages. Thinking about swapping out my old 4GB sticks for some 8GB DDR3-1333...

I'm rocking a Dell Inspiron motherboard and honestly—can't afford a whole new rig right now. Checked the manual on the ASUS site, but I can't find any of the listed RAM in stock anywhere locally, and I can't really swing ordering stuff online from places like eBay or Amazon either.

Couldn't dig up anything useful online regarding which specific sticks actually work with this board. Since I'm definitely not a hardware expert, figured I'd come here and ask for some help...

Anyone know if there's even a way to upgrade this thing? Like, can I just grab newer RAM and hope it doesn't fry my setup or cause a massive headache?

Yeah, they should work.

It doesn't really matter which specific RAM manufacturer is listed on your motherboard's spec sheet 🙂—what actually counts is keeping an eye on those latency timings. So, the kit you linked from Amazon should work just fine 🙂—just like placidtinker39 already pointed out earlier.

If it isn’t on the list, it doesn't really matter. Just make sure the voltage stays at 1.50 and check that the speed matches what your motherboard actually supports.
